I am in love with the Moon
Mysterious, Foreign, Beautiful,
yet utterly uninhabitable
And trust me,
I am no astronaut
Why must I love the Moon
When I could never leave the Earth
Gorgeous, green, a place I can call home
But even her mountains reach for the sun
How cruel it is for me to love the Moon
Wasn't my earth enough?
The stars echo back:
Even a sailor at sea searches for land
