It was a moment I had always dreamed of, and now it was playing out right before my eyes. I'd never experienced such a magical moment before, but it came so natural, and felt so right.
Her lips formed plush peach blankets around mine and we embraced. My arms snaked their way up her back and around her neck, gripping on as she gently pulled me closer, and her arms softly felt around and found my waist. She held me comfortably as we leant into one another and deepened the kiss.
Our boots were interlocked on the frozen, winter ground, and my heart continued to race. I ran my fingers through her hair, tying several playful, rogue strands around my fingers, as we gently prised our lips apart. It took us a few idle moments to catch our breath and stomach what had just happened, but we both exchanged looks of awe and amazement. She threw me the most magical smile, and I laughed softly, as my head found the nook of her neck, and buried itself there.
I was safe, and I was comfortable, and I felt a way I'd never felt before, as we held each other there in the forest. The cold breeze encircled us, and lone snowflakes fluttered past, occasionally landing elegantly on my nose. We stayed, just her and me, in a deep embrace, and soaking up every ounce of sadness. Everything seemed to go quiet, go numb, and all that mattered was right here, right now. We had no cares and no worries in that moment, just a wonderful feeling called love.
