I watched as the sun came up over the horizon. It was a blocky sun, but everything in this world was blocky. Watching the sun really made me think about the real world. I knew that minecraft wasn't the real world, it was some kind of video game. And I was somehow stuck in it as an entity. Destined to destroy Herobrine. Whoever he is.
I stood on top of a wall that I had built around the village. I was going all out. The more protection the better. I didn't know how strong Herobrine was, for all I knew he could be a giant buff, eight foot dude. I had no idea that I was dealing with something much worse than that.
I looked around the village, admiring my work. The stone wall was complete with some type of stone fence. I had looted all of the chests in the houses, partially rebuild them so they would be ready for battle, spawned wolfs and iron golems all over the village, and set up traps.
After two days of work, the village was ready for battle. I would've never been able to do it so fast if it weren't for my newly found powers. Along with enhanced speed and strength, I also had enhanced stealth, great stamina, and durability. Thanks to these powers, Herobrine won't stand a chance. Or so I thought.
Now that I was finished with the village. All that I had left to do was stock up on weapons. I already had the diamond sword that Pete had given me, along with four others that I had gotten from chests in the village. I had also gotten a full set of diamond armor from a chest in an odd house. This house wasn't at all similar to the other houses in the village. It didn't have a door, and it only had walls on two sides of the house. It was made out of cobblestone, and had a little pool of lava inside. I decided that house would be the perfect place to set up a lava trap after I added a door, and the rest of the walls.
Anyway, I wanted to make sure that there wasn't any other essential weapons that I was missing. I took a crafting table out of my inventory, and set it down in front of me. I spent the rest of the morning crafting, a combination of sticks and string got me a bow. I had a feeling that you could craft bows ever since I fought a skeleton for the first time and got two arrows. A combination of one iron ingot and six oak wood planks got me a sheild. At first I was disappointed because you wouldn't be able to hold something else with it. But when I tried to switch the sheild over to my other hand, it worked. I tried holding my sword in my other hand, it also worked. I felt stronger and more confident with my sheild.
Before I set off to fight Herobrine, I decided to test out my new Sheild and bow. So I climbed down a ladder that led inside the village and looked around for an iron golem.
Eventually, I saw one who had fallen into a pond. It's back was turned, it seemed to be watching a group of wolves play. Sword in main hand, shield in off hand, I snuck up on it and stabbed it in the back. It turned and tried to punch me, but I blocked it with my shield. Using my super speed, I ran around the pond to confuse it.
"What the-" The iron golem muttered.
Then, I jumped into the air and slammed my sword right in the golem's face. It flashed red, and jumped back. I landed in the water. It's arms shot up to punch me, but I blocked it again and swung my sword. While the golem was recovering from the impact, I climbed out of the water. Then, I took out my bow. And took aim.
"Wait, don't shoot." The iron golem pleaded. "I can help you,"
"With what," I said without lowering my bow.
"I can tell you where Herobrine is,"
I finally lowered my bow. "Really?"
"Yeah,"
"Well, where is he?"
"He lives near the world spawn, in a cave in the side of a mountain." The golem explained.
I only understood the second part of what he said. "What's world spawn?"
"The place you were when you spawned into the world."
I remembered waking up in the middle of a forest.
"Ok, thanks."
"No, thank you for not killing me."
I ran back to the house that I had been sleeping in, and gathered up my belongings. I didn't know how long I would be gone, so I filled up my inventory with everything I could find. I was really excited to be leaving the village. There was something about it that made me uncomfortable.
Once my inventory was full, I went back outside. I was about to leave the village to start my journey. Then, I stopped and looked back at the golem who had told me where Herobrine was. I walked back over to the pond."Hey, do wanna come with me." I knew that I was making a mistake.
"Really, you want me to come with you?" The golem asked.
"I mean, why not. It's the least I can do."
"Ok, I'll come."
I helped the golem out of the water, and we set off to find Herobrine.
