"Rex," a Togruta said in a pleasant sing song voice. I dashed over to my door running a nervous hand through my short ,frizzy ,blond hair. I was hoping I could see Ahsoka before I left so without farther adue I opened the door but it was not the Togruta I was looking for.
"well hello Rex you looked......expectant?" Shaak ti said quizzically scrutinizing my face with her dark eyes. "Were you expecting someone else?"
"Uh no sir" I said ridgedly. "I mean ma-am" I said, my posture wilting slightly. This was not strictly true because the people I wanted to see least where the Jedi council and all of the clones but really the one person I truly cared about was Ahsoka. I could never stop imagining her smile. It was the one true thing that filled me with joy. Even thinking about her made a wave of joy surge over him. The wave rose up into my chest and splashed across my face leaving a irresistible grin.
"Ummm did I miss something what are you smiling about?" Shaak ti said a crease surfacing between her sharp eyes.
"oh um sorry ma-am I had a funny thought about.....i mean battle of course" I said caching myself before i went to far. "um when am i needed."i said trying to gloss over that sticky moment.
