Chapter 57 - When All Else Fails

Time is meaningless when you're inlove. This is what was proven between Aga and Lea. You could stuff them in a closet for days, and they would come out holding hands and smiling. They're just so happy to be with each other.

Lea shut her eyes at 1 am, and when she opened them, it was already 8. She almost panicked at the thought of work, but with Aga hugging her waist tightly, she smiled.

After a few minutes of staring at his face, Lea moved closer to him and nuzzled up his neck. It was kind of a clingy thing to do, but she liked it.

“ Hmm… “ he moaned softly. “ Do we have to wake up? “

She liked his morning voice the best, the way its octave is lower than his singing voice.

“ No. “ she said while playing with his nose. “ Go sleep some more. “

He nodded sleepily and she went back to her clingy moment.

She reached for his left hand and intertwined it with hers. She always loved how his hand is so soft, like a baby’s.

                                                                        

She hummed softly, almost whispering to his ear.

He smiled with his eyes closed. Then he opened them, and closed them again.

“ Good morning beautiful. Nice dress, uso ba yan ngayon?“

She blushed. Not because of the compliment, but because of the “ dress “ he was referring to. The “ dress “ was actually a comforter wrapped around her body.

“ You made me wear it last night, I mean, earlier. “ she replied, trying to contain herself in the comforter “ You were too tired to give me back my clothes. “

“ Eh bakit hindi ikaw ang kumuha? “ he asked, hugging her even tighter

She fought him off. “ Muhlach, mahuhubaran na ko! “

“ Kasi naman, umagang-umaga, ganyan ang makikita mong katabi mo, akala ko hinahamon mo na naman ako eh. “  

She rolled her eyes at him. “ Bangon na, mag-a-alas dose na oh. “ she said, tapping his hands “ We have to meet with the wedding team today, remember? “

It was a month and two weeks before the wedding, and Aga shows no clear sign of pursuing it. He’s been making excuses to delay it or whatsoever.

                                                                

“ Was that today? “ he asked “ I have to go to the kids’ school today, remember? “
