Love. A word you hated. You always ended up on the bad end, a broken heart was always your outcome. Falling in love was something you never wanted to do again. Small tears slipped down your cheeks whenever you thought of falling in love again, so many vivid memories came back to bite you in the ass.

The first time you felt something was when you met Akaashi Keiji, a man of few words. You didn't know what you liked more about him, from those stunning eyes of his to the rare smiles he gave you or someone else. Guilt hit your heart when you began to fall in love again, your hands gripping your hair as you panicked.
-
You walked through the doors of the school, your eyes scanning the room for the one you needed. Once locking eyes with Akaashi, you walked over to him with a lazy grin on your face. As you both greeted each other and walked down the halls is when Bokuto came to greet you both. Akaashi gave him that smile that you loved, your eyes darting from his when he looked at you. As per usual when feeling your heart begin to hurt, you tried walking away.

"(Name), where are you going? " Akaashi asks, looking at you.

"Ah, club activities this morning. " You hummed.

"You have a few minutes, are you sure you wanna go? Bokuto and I can escort you down. "

"No, no. I'm good. I'm reforming from activities after today, I need to focus on schoolwork and things like that. See you guys! " When all was said and done, you walked away.

Akaashi stood there for a moment, Bokuto gently nudging him to bring him back to reality. They both left for whatever they were doing and didn't see you untilled lunch
-
Sitting outside under a tree, you looked up at the soft pink petals that fluttered down to the ground and onto you as well. Your eyes were closed and you hands resting on your chest. The feelings you felt for the boy you wanted finally began to subside and you felt nothing at times. You knew it was wrong so you planned on confessing to him and you knew he'd reject you the second the words slipped from your lips.

You stood up and walked inside to look for the said boy, your heart beating quickly while your palms began to sweat. Finding him with his volleyball team, you stood next to the table.

"(Name)! Hey, hey, hey! "

"Hello Bokuto. Akaashi, may I speak to you privately? Please? "

Akaashi gave you a nod and stood up, letting you lead him to where you wanted to talk.

"What's the matter (Name)? " Akaashi asks softly

"I-I.. Ugh, fuck.. I like you, a lot. Not like friends but as significant others. " You uttered out.

Silence was brought between the two of you as you awaited for his response, your eyes beginning to water.

"(Name).. I'm sorry but I can't reincorporate your feelings. " He says softly.

"It's okay, Akaashi. Thank you for letting me say that, I just needed to get it out. I'll see you later. " You smiled sadly before walking off.
-
Akaashi never saw you again after that. Some say you switched schools, others said you dropped out. Only he knew where you went, you had messaged him one last time before you were found dead in your home a few days later due to your parents messaging him privately. He knew it was his fault, your blood practically on his hands. Your funeral had been a few days after it and he went, his hands curling into his fists as he cried when he saw your beautiful face. Nothing was the same after that and it wouldn't be for a while.

He broke you and knew it was his fault, and he will always blame himself for it.
