The History Behind Our 'Twins'
Nicholas & Van Mitchell

…………………………………………

"It gets lonely here, doesnt it?"

A young boy, with hair as black as night, looked up from the puzzle on the table, blinking at the scientists behind the glass. He had to be ten or eleven, with green eyes that stood out against his pale skin, veins visible beneath his eyes from how white his skin really was.

"Lonely?" His voice echoed slightly, bouncing off the white walls of his room. He glanced around at the stark white bed, with a small, blue stuffed rabbit sitting by the pillow, then back to the dark glass and the scientists behind it, "...yeah...really lonely."

"...What if we told you we could make you a brother?"

The boy blinked, then smiled. He didnt stop to think how they could make one, or how this brother could be his brother. The idea of a friend excited him, however, and he nodded.

"I would like that very much."
…………………

"Meet Subject Two."

The young boy blinked, glancing.towards the door. a man in a white jacket had his hands on the shoulders of a young boy, much younger than him but so alike...he too had green eyes, and thick black hair. Their white skin was perfectly matched, eyelashes the same dark shade.

"Subject Two, this is your brother."

Subject Two stepped forward and put his hand out, "Hello Brother." The boy hugged Subject Two, seeming to shock the small child.

"I dont like your name. We'll call you Nicholas."

"...Who are you?" Nicholas then asked.

The boy smiled, "I'm Van." The older boy dragged him into the room, and began showing the clone of himself everything he had.
