Chapter 9: What was it?

After the Gyarados went back in the ocean, Serena found herself standing in shock at the beach.

"Serena!!!!" Says Dawn before hugging her "are you okay????" she asks

"Yeah , i am......" says Serena in a confused tone

"How did you not get hit? we saw that hyper beam shot directly onto you?!" Asked Misty

"It was that Lucario... who saved me" she states

"Lucario??" the group gasped

"But i didn't see any pokemon" may said , others nodded in agreement with her

"It was very fast almost if it can move in slow motion in current time, He stood in front of me directly with a bubble like shield surrounding me and him and when the attack stopped he jumped really high and fired a shadow ball which landed on gyarados's head and the lucario flee'd the scene" she says confused.

The group gapsed.

"If thats true , Aaron really likes you girl , he's been protecting you from every danger you are encountering" Said misty winking at serena

Serena's face went red as a tomato at this point while the group just laughed.

The boys soon join them and gets shocked upon hearing about what just happend.

"Only thing that matters now is that you are safe" says Garry and the group nods in agreement

"Thank you Gary" She smiles.

"Lets go back to the hotel its getting dark" says Brock

The group soon reaches their hotel and proceeds to have dinner and then they go into their own rooms. Serena upon reaching her room throws herself onto the bed and starts thinking about what have happend with her today. She questions herself "why is he doing this for me?" and with that she falls asleep. As she falls asleep she began having the same terrible nightmare she's having since past 6 years and wakes up screaming.

"ASHHHHHHHHH!" she screams. because this is a hotel the rooms are soundproof no one else hears her scream. she wanted to forget her dream and runs out of hotel into the nearby forest seeking some peace. She didnt want to look behind at the hotel and just needed some alone time 

Upon reaching there she is now very tired from running and rests sitting on ground by a tree, there are tears in her eyes from the nightmare. Soon she hears a sweet sound coming from a distance. She starts to walk toward the source of the song and discovers a figure sitting in moonlight playing a ocarina. The person soon stops playing the ocarina and starts looking at the night sky.

"Can you play that again?" She asks
"Sure" he replies and starts playing the ocarina again.

The sweet melody clams down her racing heart and brings a wide smile on her face. After a while he stops playing the ocarina.

"Will that be sufficient?" He asked

"That was more than sufficient thank you" she replied with a smile

The figure gets up and starts walking towards her , when the figure comes near it becomes clear on who it is.

"Its Aaron" she says to herself

"What are you doing here in mid night?" He asks

"Well i had a terrible nightmare and couldn't sleep so I ran here in forest to seek peace." She says , even though she dosent like discussing all this with her friends let alone a stranger but there was something in him which made him an exception for her.

"Oh , that must've been really scary looking the way you've ran here , if you don't mind can u share what it was so maybe you can feel a bit better" asked ash

"It was about loosing someone special few years ago, I've been having this nightmares ever since" she says

"I'm really sorry, well let's go back to the hotel?" ash asked

"S-sure!" She says

Ash tosses an pokeball up revealing an Massive Bird pokemon pidgeot , he gets on top of it and then leans his hand towards her to help her up getting on top of the bird aswell.

She quickly grabs his hand and sits behind him on the bird.

"Hold tight" he says

Serena holds ash by stomach as the bird pokemon takes flight very fast but soon slows down when it reaches a good altitude , the couple gets a good sight of the city from the sky and soon they land on roof of the hotel.

They both head down together and before going in her room she hugs ash which ash returns.

For her maybe it was 3-4 seconds of hug but for ash it was like it lasted like a year , it was this he was missing ever since the explosion.

They both head into their individual rooms.

"It just has to be ash , the warm eyes and the way he returned the hug , no one hugs like that except from him" Serena thinks before falling asleep

Ash walks into his bed which lucario notices and smiles seeing everything that happened through aura.
