Chapter 11: The promise

In the VIP box

"Brock that words..." Says Dawn

"I know Dawn , i know , we'll talk about this later" answers Brock

Unfortunately for Serena she didn't heard when Ash says his signature line "don't give until it's over" back in the battlefield. But was still happy for his win and they way he didn't let Bonnie forfeit

As ash reaches his room with his pokemon, he notices an hand on his shoulder.

"Congratulations Ashy boy" says Garry

"Th-thanks Gary" Answers ash

"I actually have someone who would like to congratulate you as well" Garry says

"What do u mea..." He gets cut off by a punch in his stomach by Trevor

Lucario starts making an aura sphere

"No lucario dont" shouts ash. That stops the aura Pokemon.

"Trevor what are you doing here?" Asks ash

"Well ,i heard your chat with Giovanni dumb fuck" he says angrily. Later he explains he heard it as Mewtwo used psychic
And also rushed towards Garry later a day ago and confronted him about Ash. As he knew too much so Garry had to explain him the full scene.

"So that's how I know it's you faggot, now do u mind telling me why you didn't contact us?" Asked Trevor

"Trevor , I can't see you guys in danger, ever since the blast Giovanni has kept a track on me and if he knew I'm contacting you guys he would come for you guys.....for her" he says while tears fell down on his cheek.

"Ash... I'm sorry, for punching you but you have to understand we...we-all missed you" says Trevor

"I know...." Ash says

"I've decided to keep this a secret only at one condition" said Trevor

"And what would that be?" Asked ash

"My Mewtwo Vs your Lucario in our battle , we'll use them as our last pokemon" says Trevor

"Huh?..." Ash silently ash and then proceeds "I accept".

"Awesome , now before we leave I just want to see the ash I missed again" Trevor says

Ash removes his mask. Trevor is shocked at what he sees , cuts and bruises on his face , tiredness and sadness on every part of this face , hopelessness in his eyes.

"Ash.... What happened?" Trevor asks

"Garry will fill you in about that , you guys gotta go before someone sees you" says ash and closes the door behind him.

Garry explains Trevor the whole scene and Trevor seems to be having a hard time resisting tears. As they make their way to pokemon center where everyone else would be waiting. Upon reaching they give their pokeballs to nurse joy for her to heal them and head towards cafeteria. The whole group welcomes them back. After having lunch the group starts heading back to the hotel.

"So Serena, what do u think about Aaron" asked Dawn

"He's strong and kind by the looks of it" she answers while blushing

"Why don't you go and ask him out?" Says May

"What?!?!" She says confused and angrily

"Oh cmon Serena you know you like him" adds Misty

Boys were walking behind listening to this , laughing.

"Listen here , i will not ask him out. That would mean im cheating on Ash" she says angrily.

"B-but no one has seen him since past 6 Years and that explosion..." Stops misty when she realises what she had said

The group Looks down at the ground with sorrow except for Garry and Trevor.

Suddenly there's a loud sound of a explosion near Serena, the Group looks towards her seeing Calem again but this time , he had a Darkrai standing besides him. He grips onto Serena's hand once again this time even tighter causing more pain than before.

"Let her go" shouts the group

"Why don't you make me?, Darkrai throw a shadow ball towards them" Calem Screams

The group realised it's too late for them to reach out to their pokeballs and held each other tightly waiting for he impact , to their surprise there was no impact and when they opened their eyes they found themselves in a blue glowing bubble and lucario stood right in front of them. Once the attack stopped lucario jumped up high and landed in front of Darkrai.

At this moment Calem's anger boiled up high. "Darkrai used dream eater on lucario" he commanded the mythical pokemon as soon as Darkrai was about to attack, he stopped. He watched as a figure started approaching him. Even though Darkrai couldn't see aura it could feel it.

The figure then keeps walking towards Calem calmly.

"Darkrai fire a Shadow ball at him" as he already knew who it was. Darkrai threw a dark Sphere at the figure but the shadow ball evaporated instead of hitting him when it was about to make contact. The figure started glowing a bit of blue which started to increase the intensity as he got near Calem holding Serena who had tears rolling through her eyes. Seeing this just angered Ash

Ash looks at Calem dead in the eye and says "did I not tell you to stay away?" He asks calmly but in a dead tone.

Lucario seeing his master's aura burning he communicated through aura "Master, NO get a grip" he shouts.

The glow sorrounding ash vanished but the glow in his eyes didn't. He first helds the same arm of Serena which is in Calem's hand and pulls it with a gentle force for Serena but force of a thousand tauros for Calem. Then once Serena is freed she looks back , Aaron giving a death glare to Calem. Calem stars to run without his Darkrai.

Ash then turns to Darkrai who stood there shocked and then spoke.

"I'm sorry, only if i knew what was he upto i would have never done this Master, I still don't know how could I attack you" Darkrai said looking at ash.

Ash's necklace on which he had emblem of arceus was glowing golden.

"You were brain washed Darkrai, I forgive you" Says Aaron. Upon hearing this Darkrai disappeared in thin air.

Aaron starts walking again accompanied by Lucario and Pikachu on his shoulder.

No one in the group had courage to utter even a thank you to him. They were scared to death as a legendary pokemon called him Master.

The group runs towards Serena who was bleeding as Calem was wearing knuckle busters when he held her arm tightly causing the buster to cut right through her skin.

Soon the Wound started to glow blue in color giving Serena comforting feeling like the one she got around ash. When she looked at her arm it was clean like nothing ever happened , he was shocked to see that just like the whole group.

As the group kept walking silently until they reached the hotel.

The group had their dinner and finally talking about the events that happened. Mainly the topic was why did Darkrai called him Master and other being of him always being there to save them from trouble.

"That lucario looks like it has speed of light" says Clemont

"What do you mean?" Asked curious Bonnie.

"You see , before this when gyarados attacked serena some kind of similar stuff happend with her, the lucario is too fast" says Clemont

"I dont know why is he doing this but i need to thank him for saving us .... Again" said serena blushing.

"Yeah , you're right serena" says iris.

The group finished their dinner and started heading in their individual rooms. Serena layed on her bed and thought

"Ash I know it's you , please come back to me" she whispered to herself before sleeping.
