Our family has been in the upper class for all my life. All the girls I meet are so prissy and don't care for real things like what's happening in the world. They don't know how to think practically. I do not enjoy their company because all I hear is gossip.  Why am I telling you all this? Well, I meet a lot of people like this in my life.

 After finishing my studies in Canada, I'm back in India and now I'm working for the company. I told my Dad I'll only work for him if he puts me in the position I want to be in. Of course, I got my way even though Dad didn't like it because I am daddy's girl after all! I didn't want a top position for being part of the family. I want to work my way up. I don't like giving my identity away so I go by my nickname Priya.

My full name is Priyanka Jaiswala. My dad owns Jaiswala industries, a company that has been with our family for five generations. I love my father and mother dearly. To me, they're the most down to earth people ever. Now that I'm done my studies, they don't like that I'm single. The deal with parents! Dad told me to meet a few men and to focus less on my career and the number of arguments we've had over this is uncountable! I always end up getting my way and help him with the company.

He's been trying to get a business deal with this one other company but it looks like there's no way that will be happening. I've looked at this case a bit. I attended a meeting for it recently. Other companies reports show that it's next to impossible to get the kind of deal my dad wants with that company. Dad's going mad about it. I told him to leave it and focus on another company. I got yelled at for that. Why was this such a big deal to him? I found out why soon enough. This company meant big bucks. He was doing it for the money. Money seemed like such a trivial issue because our company was doing fine but for Dad it was all about getting on the list of top businessmen of all time. I wonder what happened to the person that my Dad used to be. Why was he so greedy for money?

It hurts to see him like this. He's never acted this way before. I want my old Dad back. Why was he turning into a different person?
