Mermaids were known to be near myths all around the world but there is always a part of the world that thinks these myths actually exist and have tried to hunt them many times. Little does most of the population know that they really do exist! Two main species of mermaids in fact! A corrupt mermaid and a normal mermaid. Corrupts are known to be stronger and have scales around their backs and shoulders, along with side skills like hunting and better sense of smell. They also are meaner and rarely ever show mercy to anyone other than their family. They live in the southern side of Atlantis and usually take control if any normal mermaid were to trespass or cause a ruckus near them.

Normal mermaids are known for their kindness and an extremely powerful skill. Their singing can be used for entertainment and fun but, when sang correctly, can be very dangerous. Usually it's known as a sirens power, to lure people into the ocean and kill them but that isn't true. Mermaids use it for protection from the corrupts or humans. Although they never had the necessity to use it against humans as they were never found out.

Katsuki Bakugou, a well known corrupt for his amazing hunting and swimming skills, along with his swift thinking and attacks. He is a literal star in the underwater world and had many mermaids dreaming to be his. He was never interested in getting together with anyone. He thought he was above everyone else and didn't need a women or man by his side. He felt like he was dominant enough and adding someone else in his life would bring him down in some way. He would usually hang out in one of the coral houses near the barriers that separated them. Although the barrier was just a swift change of colors in the scene, it was hard to pass. There was always a group of corrupts that  would get protective and hurt anyone who dared enter when it was completely unnecessary. Due to Katsuki living near the barrier, he always has to listen to the fights and eventually get out there in time for them to finally stop teasing the mermaids and push them out of their side. Katsuki sighed and went back to his house.

Ochako Uraraka had always dreamed of meeting the perfect guy. She dreamed that he wouldn't be like her last boyfriend. Her last boyfriend was a normal mermaid, like her, and had a cute baby face. They seemed perfect for eachother except he was attached to her. He was overprotective and wouldn't let her do anything without his consent and was basically controlling her. When she had finally had enough, she broke up with him but that was never the end of it. She would catch his staring at her and mumbling multiple times or find him trying to make her jealous. She learned to ignore him for the most part. Ochako really liked to sit on high ground and stare at the barrier and watch many mermaids attempt to cross it but never succeeded. She found it interesting on how each of them protected their land, it was a cute trait in some way for her.

One day, Ochako had been watching the barrier again when she didn't realize how close she was to it, she was still so fixated on what was happening infront of her she didn't notice where she was going. A corrupt snuck up on her and laughed at the young girl, catching her attention. She froze and looked up instinctively and stared at the corrupt, finding her position at the moment very amusing. He grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him slightly "what do you think you're doing?" He asked, now in a serious tone "you think you can sneak in while we were distracted?" A smirk slowly formed on his face as he continued to figure out her supposed 'plan'. "N-No sir! I w-was just watching and I guess I got distracted.." she said nervously, trying to pull away from his grip. "And you think I'll let you go that easily?" He laughed at her pathetic attempts to save herself. He pulled her away to the side and swam back to the group who was dealing with the other boy and throwing him outside, also just as Katsuki routinely left his house at that time. This time, instead of continuing down the road and basically be disappointed that they do this and always cause a worser picture for them, he stayed as it wasn't common for them to find two mermaids at a time.
