Session Four: Freestyle

Mai wasn't in the mood for attitude. At work, she had to deal with impolite customers who gave her the cold shoulder and an evil glance. When she came home, no one was there to welcome her, she peeked inside Koharu's room and noticed a familiar headset on her face. She sighs and moves back into the living room, making a cup of ramen for herself, and another one for her roommate which she leaves in the microwave so it doesn't lose its heat.

All the while she knew she would have to start streaming again, it wasn't like she hated doing it, it was just how she knew how her chat could be sometimes, and she didn't feel like putting up with it. Still, rent wasn't going to decrease anytime soon, and she needs to blow off her steam somehow, she might as well make some money while doing it. She finishes her food, pulls a strand of brown hair out of her eyes, and toss the cup away.

Swish!

In a blur of black and teal, the player dragged her knife across the back of the『Marauder Kahuna』, a gross human-like creature with pale gray skin, a cybernetic jaw that made its face wide squarish and is adorned in a set of makeshift『Droid Armor』. The creature clamped its hand around its『Grasscutter Blade』, as it stumbled away from Teal, who flourished her blade in confidence.

"Wicked witch!" The voice of the bandit sounded like it was coming from a scuba diver's breathing mask, "That town will fall yet!"

Teal's posture radiated with as much determination as it did allure, "This 'witch' is kicking your ass, and I don't use magic." Teal showed off her『Intrensic Weapon』some more, "Let's be real, you aren't going to make out of this, so why don't you just run home, leave these people alone, and tell the other Marauders that this town is protected."

Teal could tell the raider's decision before, the '✓' appeared above the NPC's head. A successful『Persuasion Check』, not that she had any doubts, she had carefully crafted her words to make sure the system understood her intention and didn't need to say, "『Slash, Persuasion Check』," like other players did if they wanted to try to do a speech-related activity.

The『Marauder Kahuna』growled, making a strange noise with its cybernetic jaw, "You Survivors think you are high and mighty," the looter bit back, "you come out from your pods, thinking you are great for surviving the Burst, your cocky intellect and words didn't save your citadel from collapsing, did it?"

"I said, beat it, final offer, or my blade will be darkened with your blood," Teal, wasn't sure if the system would recognize that so under her breath she muttered, "『Slash, Intimidation Check』, I want him to go away."

Another checkmark appeared over the head of the NPC as it back up slowly, "This isn't over, Survivor!" It turned on its heel and dashed back into the woods, and Teal sighed.

"He didn't have to be so melodramatic," she says to herself, as she looked around the clearing and at the bodies at the floor. The humanoid figures were bleeding purple and slowly their bodies turned to mist leaving behind their gear.

Teal felt a thrilling sensation as she noticed her『Intrensic Bond』level increased since the『Intrensic Gear』would evolve with the player, it was made to level up slower than a player, only countered by a user's『Silver-Tounge』stat. Teal loved the armor and weapon she designs had customized and was glad to see them progressing with her. Suddenly, there was a small ping, as she received a message from Ava.
