I had a friend who was from Pakistan. She had long hair and was also Muslim. She began covering her hair and nobody said a word cuz that's what they expected her to do.
When I decided to do it. I got a lot of questions. They didn't know I was a Muslim since my name doesn't sound Arabic.

So for me a black girl to where it in such a school, the stares got to me. I felt so embarrassed like why did I think I could walk around the school with it on.
How come if a Somali girl or Arab girl wear's it they don't see them as different. Even if they just started wearing it.
But as a west african, it's not expected of me.
Later on my parents told me I had to start wearing it cause my sister started wearing hers to school.
She started wearing hers cause she wasn't getting her hair done and she didn't like her short hair.
We all used to straighten our hair now we're all natural. Yass we love our 4c hair.
