Jonathan looked up from his book at the sleeping girl beside him.
He normally would be outside playing with the other 'siblings' but jasper was sick again,
So he decided to stay with her
The girl started to slowly wake up and Jonathan took notice
"Good morning jasp"
Jasper looked over at Jonathan and slowly sat up
"...hello jon.." jasper looked down at their hands
"Do you need water or anything?is your throat hurting?"
He said putting his book down and getting up
"Melody made some eggs,I'll go get yours."
He was about to walk away when jasper suddenly grabbed the back of his shirt.
He stopped and turned around
"...jon...?"
"Whats wrong jasper?"
"Do i......am I a......am I ever a burden for you jonathan?"
Shit.
He knew jasper thought up negative things like that and he knew they werent true.
Jonathan quickly turned all the way around and pat jasper on the head.
"No of course not. Where did you get that idea?" He said with a small almost invisible smile.
"Well....sometimes it just...it just feels like I hold people down and....I get sick alot and it feels like I hold you back..."
He pat jasper again
"You never hold me back,jasper.
I enjoy spending my time with you"
Jasper looked uncertain and stared up at the tall boy
"Well....if you're sure then..."
Jasper swung her legs over her bed and hopped off of it
She hugged Jonathan and they stood there for a good 1 minute just hugging.
"Wanna go watch tv or something jasp?"
"Yeah i guess"
They made their way out of the room,down the hall,down the staircase and finally into the living room.
Cooper jumped up from his spot on the couch
"JASPER!you're finally awake! but not dead.."
(that earned him a smack on the back of the head from jonathan)
Jasper smiled brightly at Cooper
"'Course,couldn't keep you waiting"
"I'm gonna go use the washroom" Jon said,
Patting jasper then walking away.
"Let's watch tv" jasper said
"I just finished watching about 2 movies let's do something else instead." Cooper said taking jasper's hand and leading her to the door.
"MOM!!!ME AND JASPER ARE GOING OUTSIDE TO PLAY" Cooper yelled and put on his shoes.
"Hurry before Jon gets out" Cooper said as jasper put on her shoes.
They walked out the door
And off they went.
