"Come on Selena, come down! Everyone is looking for you now." Brion said with a hush a but I still didn't make a move. He is referring to the media downstairs. What is new anyway? "Don't make me call Tito Javier."

"I don't care Bri, call him if you want." I know I'm such a brat but who cares?

"You're really a pain in the ass Selena." He said. "Such a brat." He added as he entered my room.

I rolled my eyes but I saw myself coming for him too. His hazel brown eyes says I should worry no more. Now I realized I wish he could stay here for a long time.

"Tito Javier is getting older now little girl, and he expects you to be there 'coz he prepared everything for his one and only girl." He patted my head. "To our little girl."

"I don't like cameras Bri. You know it!" I pout.

I do really hate it. Every year, every gathering, everytime I'm with dad, there where also there! Taking pictures and interviews like they really know me.

"Even just for a minute? The old man is waiting for you there. Plus, I think you gonna like this birthday of yours."

"They're just going to ask me who's my designer for tonight." It makes sense. The media is just here to cover my birthday as an entertainment in elite society, not for me personally.

"Just tell them, Michael flew from Dubai to made you a custom fit navy blue gown." He laughed while pinching my face. "Anyway, happy birthday my princess."

I hugged him. This maybe the best birthday of mine for now coz he's here. Not that he's not always in my birthday but knowing that he flew from Germany to the Philippines just for my birthday makes me feel special.

I immediately open the box he gave me. This is the new Chanel bag I requested to dad last month! How did he know this is what I want?!

"Don't give me that look, a simple 'thank you' will do." and he winked.

"How did you know it Bri? You're so sweet.. I wish you could stay for long here Bri. I miss you dearly."

Bri is now staying at Berlin with Tita Elizabeth, the younger sister of my dad. Just taking a vacation here from time to time just to make sure their azucarera's is working well. After all, he's the oldest among the Javier Sr.'s grandchild. And the heir to Lolo's Hacienda in Tarlac.

"That is why I need you to come down and enjoy your night! I'll let you meet my friends too."

From there, we go together downstairs.

It was a extravagant night, like what he said it was prepared personally by my dad. He's really handly when it comes to me, maybe because I'm his one and only child.

When we got down and all the camera's are now on me, it's like they were been waiting for me this whole time.

"Dont forget to smile mi amor." Bri whispered in my ear. And the non-stop clicks form the cameras filled the whole lounge.

"Please welcome again, the one and only daughter of Don Javier, our dear princess, please let us welcome, Miss Maria Selena Ongapauco." The emcee said.

I coudn't stop smiling. I was trained for it. Everytime I go with dad, this is what I always do. There's only two things I need to do. First, smile to all the cameras and second, greet people with manners even tho I don't know them all. And now, it makes me tired.

"Happy birthday my girl." Dad kissed me. "What took you long?"

My dad has been the best dad of all time. He always show his love and care for me like I was his little girl, but I know I won't be his little girl forever.

"She's not kid anymore Javier, our little girl is growing up. But don't grow up too much babe." Mom said. "Happy birthday Mahal."

"The gifts are waiting for you there but I want you to meet your Tito's and Tita's there. They're waiting for you."

"Ok dad." I followed him. Everythime I meet older people, I used to do the "mano", what my parents always tell me to do. To show respect to elderly.

Every year, same people. Same greeting, same scenario.

"Dad I'm tired, can we go back to our table?"

"Sure sweetie." He kissed my head and later on call Brion. "Take care of your cousin. I'm going to meet my old friend."

"Yes Tito." Brion responded.

"I'm already tired Bri. Can I go back to my room now and sleep?" I said after dad left us. "By the way, who is coming anyway?"

"Your dad's old friend." re repeated lazily.

"I'm asking who? I think I already met his friends, they are all here tonight."

"Not all. The Alonzo's are not here yet." He said while taking his drinks. "Let's wait for them. I think he is pleased to greet you tonight."
