My breath was heavy, I realized when I lost my adrenaline, slowed my run, and looked around. I was in an alley, it was dark and filled with ice and filth. The only sounds were distant sirens and the dripping of water. As I sat to catch my breath a blood curdling scream arose, but where it came from, I didn't know.

Once I caught my breath I fumbled to my feet, and began to walk. I paused, just in time to hear a second scream, but this time it was closer. This startled me, and my only reaction was to run as I ran my thoughts scattered. As my thoughts scattered so did my focus. The last thing I remember is the blaring of a car horn and seeing bright lights.
As I told my story, I looked around this mysterious room filled nameless faces staring at me with worried eyes. I asked who are all of you, excuse me if you know who I am, since I have no clue who any of you are then this is a problem, not a problem a hamartia.

At this moment an older woman began to Heavily sob, then was comforted by a man wearing a raggedy old sweater. Then a guy around eighteen stormed out of the room hands in his pockets, and his head down, he walked out of sight. Across the room, a girl looking the same age as the guy who stormed out let her head fall into her hands and slid down the wall. I was baffled that these people I didn't even know genuinely cared about me.

As I peered around the room at these nameless faces a smiling doctor approached my hospital bed and asked "Hey Elizabeth how are you feeling?" Then the older woman spoke out and said "We call her Liz." Putting the pieces together I realized I was Liz, so I responded "okay, I guess." Then the overly happy doctor shined a flashlight in my eyes, and touched a cold stethoscope to my chest sending shivers down my spine. Following this he asked me if I knew where I was or if I could tell him the date. I then responded breathlessly "No."
In a bit of a panic while trying to seem calm he turned to his nurse and said "Get her a neuro consult." Then the nurse sped out of the room.
