"We're almost there!" Hop said to me, beaming with excitement.
I was about to enter the Galar region, a region I've always wanted to travel to. I met Hop in Kalos, he was there for some kind of research. He told me he wanted to become a Pokémon professor, and that he is the assistent of the current professor in Galar, Sonia. Hop asked me if I want to go to Galar with him, of course I couldn't say no. So that's how I ended up here.
**IN GALAR**
We stepped out of the train in Wedgehurst, a small town where Sonia's lab was located.
"C'mon Sanne! You should meet professor Sonia!" Hop took my hand, running with me towards the lab. He looked very excited.
Once we entered the lab, I saw a girl with a white lab coat and she had orange hair, wearing it in a side ponytail. I assumed that she was professor Sonia.
"Sonia! I'm back!" Hop waved his hand.
"Oh, hello Hop! Welcome back! And... who's what girl?" She looked at me with a questionable face.
"This is my friend, Sanne! I met her in Kalos! She told me she really wanted to see the Galar region, so I brought her with me!" Hop explained to her.
"How nice! So you're from Kalos, I've never met someone from there! I'd like to know a lot more about Kalos! It's very nice to meet you, I'm Sonia!" She shook hands with me.
"It's very nice to meet you too, Sonia!" I smiled.
"So, would you mind telling me about the Kalos region? I'd be happy to know more about it. And if you're interested, I could also tell you things about Galar!" Sonia suggested.
"Of course! That would be great!" I said.
Sonia and I were having a nice talk. I told her about Mega Evolution, and Sonia told me about Dynamaxing. She also told me about the "Gym Challenge", which was pretty similar to the gyms in Kalos.
"If you really want to know more about Galar, you should explore the region yourself! So Hop, how about you show Sanne around?" Sonia looked at Hop, who was nodding his head.
"Of course! I'd be happy to!" Hop said with a grin on his face.
"That would be nice! Thanks, Hop!" I thanked him and we left the lab, saying goodbye to Sonia.
