Light smut but not really? It's implied I guess so here's a warning.

Someone also gets outed so be aware of that if that triggers you.

Charlie's POV
"I just don't understand why we're coming out here. She obviously doesn't wanna talk to you." Carol said as Steve drove to Nancy's house.

Charlie had been forced into the backseat when they picked up Tommy and carol. He was not happy about it. Carol wore too much perfume and chewed her gum loudly in his ear.

"That's... that's not it." Steve said, tightening his grip on the wheel. "Oh really? Cause no girl would ever blow off king Steve." She hit the back of Tommy's seat and he laughed.

"Nancy's just... not like other girls." Charlie fake swooned. Everyone except Steve laughed. Charlie never really made fun of Steve, but he deserved it this time.

"She was acting weird. I mean, something was wrong." Steve turned on his turning signal, ready to make the turn onto Nancy's street. "So what? You're worried about her?" She asked. Steve blushed slightly and scoffed.

"Aww, you are."

"Aww, Steve has a heart."

"Stevey's in loveee."

"Shut up!" Everyone went quiet after Steve yelled. Tommy finally chuckled quietly.

"Jeez." He muttered. "Sorry," Carol said.

Steve pulled into the Wheeler's driveway. Charlie had been there only once before to pick up Danny. He didn't really like Nancy so much and he thought Mike was too loud, so he tried to stay away.

"So this is the princess's castle?" Tommy asked. Steve let out a sigh and said, "I'll just be a minute."

They all watched him climb up the side of her house. He peered into the window for a few seconds before he turned right around and came back to the car.

"What happened?" Charlie asked when he sat down. "She's with Jonathan Byers." He said quietly, turning on the engine.

Tommy, Carol, and Charlie exchanged a look.

"Hey, Steve it's okay. You could do better than her." Tommy said. Steve looked pissed, so Charlie didn't bother trying to console him.

Once they dropped off Tommy and Carol, Charlie was allowed in the passenger seat again. He messed with the radio until he found a decent song, then sat back and stayed quiet.

Steve didn't seem to want to talk much.

"Hey, I think I'm just gonna go home," Steve said, not making eye contact with Charlie. "Why? Just stay here it'll be fun."

Steve considered it for a second before turning off the car and following Charlie into the house.

Charlie's stepdad was standing in the kitchen, sorting through papers when they walked in. Steve mumbled hello to him, but Charlie said nothing.

"You want anything to eat or drink?" Charlie asked. "Do you have Coke?"

Charlie grabbed two Cokes and brought them to his room. Steve was already there, staring at the empty bed.
