Go Get Her

Chapter 5

~~~Claire's POV~~~

I know what you're thinking right now... like why do I have to stay in my room while my friends are out there under the sun, well it started not too long ago

Flashback

I woke up because of the giggling of Caleb and Lissa. I tried to open my eyes and saw that they are holding their phones up and pointing at me.

I felt movement at my side and I immediately jolted up. I looked at my side and saw Lucas' sleeping body.

I try to remember how did this happen. Then I remembered that we all fell asleep during the series.

Soon Lucas woke up and everyone started to prepare to go back to the beach.

Everyone is packed and ready to leave. We are finally outside and we are splashing at one another. A few hours later I started feeling like something is burning me.

Then I remembered

' I DIDN'T PUT SUNSCREEN!!! '

End of flashback

Now I'm stuck in the house with Lucas. He is helping me with my sunburn problem.

"Gosh why am I so stupid, and Why is this so cold?! " I yelled frustrated. Lucas is helping me put ice on the sunburned spots. Lucas just chuckled, I looked at him with a pout. 

After a moment of silence. 

"Hey, Claire?" Lucas asked. I looked up and saw his face near my face. I immediately stepped back but he continues to step forward.

Soon, the sofa's arm thingy (idk whats its called) is pressed at my back with his arms are on it blocking me from escaping.

My mind being a mess is an understatement, I'm a wreck. 'Why is this happening, what is happening to him?'. He started leaning in. I placed my hands in front of me but he still kept leaning in.

Then the sound of the door opening made us froze. Then the door closed we are already far from each other making it look like we were watching the TV. 

~~~ Lucas's POV ~~~

 After the incident that happened between me and Claire, I decided to stay in my room. Now, here I am thinking. 'What the hell happened?!' 

Flashback

Then the sound of the door opening made us froze. 'What the heck am I doing ?'  then the door closed we are already far from each other making it look like we were watching the TV. 

I glanced at Claire and seeing her all flustered made me also flustered. "hey guys what happened ?" Caleb asked as he sat between me and Claire. I sent him a glare but he did not notice. 

'Why am I glaring at him?!' I looked away. 

"Anyone hungry?"  Lissa asked. Everyone nodded except me. They look at me with a questioning look "I'm not hungry, I'll be upstairs"  I said as I stood up and made my way to the stairs. They nodded and answered with a 'bye'.

flashback end

Now, here I am laying at bed wide awake. 'I can't sleep' I said for the 5th time. Next thing I know I went out of my door and went to the beach. Surprisingly Claire was there too sitting by the shore, the waves nearly touching her feet while a blanket was wrapped around her body. 

I sat down by her and she looked at me and back to the moon and the sea. ' I want to hug you and cuddle with you' I thought, 'wait, what?!.. no, no, I can't be thinking of this now' while I was scolding myself I didn't notice that Claire was talking to me. 

"What happened back there?" Claire said I was taken aback by her question. I also looked at the scenery in front of me, "I don't know" I replied.

"I will tell Lissa about my feelings for her tomorrow night under these stars," I said to her, she replied with a "hmmm.." as if she was thinking.

Again there was silence between us. I was deep in my thoughts when suddenly I felt a weight on my shoulder, I notice that Claire fell asleep on my shoulder and is now sleeping soundly.

After some time letting Claire sleep on my shoulder, I finally became sleepy so I held Claire's back and underneath the legs, as I lift her, then I carried her back to the house since we're not that far from the house. 

I opened the door at her room and lay her at her bed, there I kissed her forehead and mumbled "good night princess" as I left the room. 

I closed the door and quickly went to my room. And fell asleep.

' don't get it'
