Go Get Her

Chapter 4

~~~ Claire's POV ~~~

'Woah! the beach is so beautiful' I thought. As I held my hat tighter because of the strong winds coming from the sea. "what are you waiting for let's go!!" Lissa said as she ran to the water leaving her slippers on the sand.

The umbrella and the big picnic mat [idk what its called] is set and Lucas lay the cooler and the foods beside me as he took off his shirt and ran to the shore and started to splash water on Lissa. 

Caleb sat beside me and stared at the two playing human beings. "why don't you join them" Caleb said as he went closer to my side. "hmm" I replied.

"I can't... I got traumatized once, me and my family went to a beach resort, we were swimming and I looked down and I think I saw a sea urchin" I let out a short chuckle and went on "I remembered watching a documentary that says something about a sea urchin and now here I am sitting by the shore with you" I finished.

I looked up and Caleb's face was priceless, a mixture of doubt and confusion, I laughed so hard that I rolled over. Caleb finally got over it and laughed with me. Lissa and Lucas came over and asked what happen. I answered their question and they laughed again.

After some time I stop laughing and while everybody is still laughing I picked up the bucket and filled it up with wet sand with water. 

Then after they all settled down, I shouted: "Hey Guys !!" They look at me and I splashed them with the bucket that was filled with wet sand and water. "WT-" "Ewww" "GROSS" they replied as I the pour all the contents of the bucket. 

I laughed and started running, like running away from my now mad friends. "Come back here!!" they shouted as they chased me around the picnic mat. I stopped running to catch my breath but it was a bad move. A pair of arms was suddenly wrapped around me and was tossed on the person's shoulders. I looked behind and saw Caleb carrying me. 

"Oi put me DOWN!!... please" I pleaded but to no avail, soon I felt the cold water hit me as Caleb threw me into the water. 

Now it's their turn to laugh, I stood up and went nearer to my friends who are laughing their asses off and began shaking to remove the dripping water off me doggy style. 

Finally, after all the chaos is done, we packed up and headed towards the rented house. We cleaned ourselves from all the sand, and I went straight to the living room. Where I found Lucas. He also just got out of the shower which explained the towel around his neck.

I quickly glanced over the remote control, who is sitting innocently on the sofa. Sensing that Lucas also saw what I was looking at, I quickly ran towards the sofa and took the remote. As I finally say down peacefully, I felt a pair of arms was attacking and tickling me.

"HAHAHA p-please l-let me g-go!" I screamed at him as I beg him to stop tickling me. 

"Not until you give me the remote Claire!" he said still tickling me. So I did the most logical thing to do, give him the remote. 

I sat up finally able to breathe and looked at him sitting comfortably at the couch as if nothing happened. " you meanie" I said pouting.

He chuckled and pat at the area beside me and motioned me to sit there, which I obliged. I sat down and looked at the TV as it changes from channel to channel. Finally, the channel landed on Animax, I stand up and sat down again as Lucas changed the channel. 

"please Lucas, Animax~" I whined and pouted. He glanced at me and continued skimming through the channels. I pouted and stood up to go to my room when a hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me back down and hugged me. 

I tensed and relaxed "don't leave me here," Lucas said, I almost didn't hear it. After a few seconds, I became conscious of our position and tried to stand up but Lucas hugged me tighter. After a few minutes have passed I heard doors opening and closing, I started panicking and tried to talk to Lucas which is still hugging me. 

"h-hey Lucas? can you let go now?" I asked as I turned to look at Lucas. I felt his arms loosen, I quickly stand up and just in time Lissa and Caleb entered the room with their hair in the towel. "hey guys are you done with your 10 step bathroom routine?" I asked teasingly, with a raised brow.

The two just glared ant me playfully and sat down beside us. Caleb sat beside me and Lissa sat beside Lucas. We continued skimming through the channels and since we can't find anything good to watch, we watched Titans on Netflix instead. 

The night went on and I'm starting to get sleepy as I tried not to close my eyes but soon failed. I drifted to sleep

"Good night Princess"
