Cara had to choose out of three red cars. One was ugly, and two were beautiful. The ugly one was a partly messed up van, and the two were a shiny Jeep and fast Convertible. Her parents suggested she pick the van, of course, because it was less money. They were right, though. Plus if she payed for the Jeep or Convertible, she would have to pay all her money and her parents would have to each pay $200. But she thought of her friends and her school, Bridgelit High. She wanted the convertible. When she told the car dealer, he was a little skeptic of letting a 16-year old drive a car without a roof. They had a 2 minute argument, but finally, Cara won. So, for her first car, her parents decided to let her drive to the supermarket, Quickies, and then come back. When she got in her new, fresh car, it felt wonderful. The leather hadn't been messed up. The wheel was so smooth, it was slippery. Cara pressed the pedal until she went to the stop sign. She looked to her left and saw an old lady texting on her phone. Wow, she thought, that's stupid. She was going about 55, when she came to an old lamppost. Her phone vibrated in her back pocket. There was no reason to stop, so she just reached her right hand for the phone, and then her left hand slipped. The car swerved and she tried to put her hands on the wheel when it was too late.
