"The truth is, I haven't given a good performance yet. I was always jealous of river. After he died, I had a really hard time with the idea that he wasn't going to give me a chance to be better than him. For all my mixed feelings about river, I realize how much I wanted to work with him again. Even though he was only six months older, I understand now that he was years beyond me in artistic maturity. In some ways, I was always trying to catch up."
