It was midnight. I sat petrified, staring around me. The world was silent, apart from the occasional rustle of a bush. The lamps lit up the space around me. My stomach rumbled and goosebumps grew on my bare legs. I wrapped my blazer tighter around me. I had checked all the other entrances, they were locked. There was growling from underneath the Earth and the ground began to shake. Earthquake. I crouched and covered my head with my hands. I heard a crack and looked in front of me. There was a split in the earth from the quake! It ran from in front of the steps all the way to the car park. The ground had stopped shaking. I gasped as I saw a hand reaching out from the crack. I stumbled backwards as a face appeared. It was girl. She looked around the age of 18 with brown hair and blue eyes. She stepped out from the crack and dusted off her hands.
"June!" I screamed. Excited, confused and surprised at the same time.
she smiled at me, grabbed my hand and whispered "run".
