"Hey.. uh.. why are you yelling about this? It's like.." Kaminari looked over at his phone. "One in the morning."
"What you said pissed me off." Bakugou shot back.
"That's the only reason?" The electric blonde gave the other a look.
"Yeah, dunceface. Are you done asking me questions?" Bakugou stood, leaning against the doorway with his hands in his pockets. Even with the angry aura from before, he seemed calmer. Odd.
"You really are just like a Pomeranian. Goodnight, Kacchan." Kaminari teased, sticking his tongue out and laughing.
"First, one stupid nickname, then another? Keep it up and I'll blow your brains out, pikachu knock off." He stepped out, closing the door behind him.
"Keep that bet, you angry gremlin!" Kaminari shouted, laughing before the door fully closed. Although the conversation ended in stupid, playful insults, Bakugou did feel better. He wouldn't admit it, but he felt better. Mina poked her head around the corner, trailing after him like a lost puppy.
"Why were you at Kami's room?" She piped up, taking his arm and swinging it. He instinctively pulled his arm away.
"Something he said pissed me off, wanted to yell at him about it."
"At one in the morning?" She elbowed him.
"Why the fuck are you up?" He questioned her, stopping at his room.
"Couldn't sleep. Too excited about Kaminari being alive." She snorted, pushing her hand into his head and ruffling his hair. He swatted at her.
  "Just go to bed, Pinky."

The morning after, the students did their daily morning routines, getting ready for the day, and eating breakfast. Todoroki walked up to Bakugou.
"You don't even need to say it's you, IcyHot. The hell do you want?" Bakugou grumbled. It was early, he was irritable and tired.
"Kirishima is looking for you. They're sitting at the usual table." And with that, Todoroki walked back to his table, sitting down with Midoriya and Iida. Bakugou looked around, mostly contemplating whether he would sit with the group asking, or alone on the roof again. He walked to the table.
"Wow Bakugou, didnt expect to see you with us!" Mineta chirped. He's like a fucking tiny, annoying, bird. At least Present Mic was tolerable.
"Shouldn't you be using a booster seat?" Bakugou sneered, beginning to eat his food. He looked pretty miserable. He just wanted to sleep, and for once, luck was on his side. It was the weekend, of course, and he would finally take the nap he needed, right after he finished eating. Kaminari didn't touch his food, and instead put the groups phone chargers in his mouth again, deciding on doing them a favor. Odd. Bakugou thought. It wasn't long before the phone screens lit up in unison, showing the familiar charging screen. The group went on about their morning, joking, teasing, or just catching a sleepy Kaminari up on what he missed. The phones turned on, indicating that they stopped charging. Bakugou, as well as Kirishima and Sero looked up, to see a sleeping Kaminari, his hood pulled up over his head, and his face resting on his arms.
"It's only just morning, is he always this tired?" Sero whispered, earning a shrug from the rest.
"He was up late last night." Mina chimed in. Bakugou sent her a glare, a warning look. She just nodded, carrying on with her explanation. "I couldn't sleep, so I went to walk around and get water. Kaminari was up, mostly just pacing around. I guess he was still anxious about being back." She shrugged again. Bakugou sighed with relief. Mina just covered for his ass. No one knew why he was up when he was, other than Kaminari. Standing, Bakugou collected the plates.
"I'll walk him back." He stated, his attitude told the others that he didn't want to be questioned. But, as we know, Mina sucks at context clues.
"Bakugou? Being nice? Am I having a fever dream? What are you on about?" She whispered the last part, earning a few laughs from the group.
"I'm not asking for comments, plus I'll be goingok the same way. I'm tired, don't want to be bothered by anyone, and just want to nap." He threw them garbage out, then walked over to Kaminari, shaking him roughly. "Wake up, asshat."
"You talk a lot of shit when you're questioned." Kaminari mumbled, slowly standing, stretching.
"I didn't ask for a smart ass comment. Let's go." He started walking, pikachu hot on his heels.
"Why are you walking me back?" Kaminari yawned.
"Why not. Quit asking questions." He sighed, waving him off and making his way back to his own room.
"Thanks, bakubro." Kaminari called, earning a loud, irritated sigh from Bakugou.
"If you're going to call me something other than my name, come up with it yourself, dunce." He grumbled,  stepping into his own room.

Bakugou laid down on the bed, barely bothering to pull the blankets up. He knew another training camp was planned for the next day, and in honesty he just wanted to catch up on sleep. For the second night in a row, something bothered him. It wasn't sitting well, nor was the fact that the realization bothered him.

The realization? He nearly lost one of the most important people in his life. Realizing death can take those he cares about away hit him hard. He never cared for others like he does with his small group of friends. Bakugou soon realized something else.

  He was crying.
