"sujin-ah!" her brother happily says on the call. the only free time he had to talk was in the very early morning or late at night.

"yoonoh-ah," the girl says giving the same energy he gave to her.

"are you okay?" he asks. sujin could tell he was worried about her like always.

she sighs, looking around her one-bedroom, one-bath apartment. "yeah, just school is stressful. at least, i get to go home sunday, spring break is finally here."

"that amazing news jiwoo."

"okay, what's wrong? you never call me jiwoo unless you have something to hide. don't make me facetime you so your lying ears will give you up," she says with extreme passion to get to know why her brother was acting weird.

like her brother, jiwoo is her birth name but instead, sujin has two korean names. jung jiwoo what is her legal name while jung sujin what everyone calls her because her grandfather said that sujin fits the girl more.

"the week you visit, i'm-"

"busy," sujin says cutting him off. "it's fine. i excepted nothing less.."

"sorry, jinnie. i really wanted to be free but we can hang out the weekend before you leave since i have time then," her brother genuinely was sad. sujin felt bad, it's been a long time since she has seen her brother. every time the girl came home to korean, he's always busy. it sucks sometimes when her brother's an idol.

"it's okay yoonoh-ah. oh, i almost forgot. i'm staying in korea for about two weeks instead of one. apparently, one of mom's coworkers is getting married and i have to go."

"have fun," yoonoh says with a pity laugh. "at least we have a week more to spend together."

"shut up before i come and beat you up," sujin threatens.

"mhm, sure. i should sleep. i have to wake up early."

"okay, night yoonoh-ah," sujin says as he ends that call.

it was morning in connecticut which means it was night time in korea. the girl wishes time zones weren't a thing so her brother didn't have to stay up late to call her every night or wake up super early to call.

in the middle of sujin's thoughts, her phone went off. it was an alarm to wake up to get ready for work. since sujin doesn't have any morning classes and no classes on friday, she works a part-time job at a cafe.

getting ready, the girl changed into the cafe's work attire. sujin usually the girl doesn't eat breakfast because she would wake up late so she would just eat brunch. it was just a normal day and sujin happily made her way to work since the woman that owns it, is like her second mother.

"jinnie," mrs. smith, who sujin calls mum since she was from england, calls for the younger in english in a cheerful tone. "how have you been?"

"doing fine, mum," the younger girl replies back in english since no one in this cafe speaks korean.

"i heard from rachel that nct 127 will be having a comeback?" rachel was mrs. smith's daughter, who is a sister to sujin. mrs. smith pretends that she doesn't know yoonoh is sujin's brother but she knows he is. once upon a time, he called his little sister like spammed called her and mrs. smith got annoyed so she answered sujin's phone for her. she had a conversation with him in english and recognized his voice.

"always, busy."

"she is already asking me for the albums," mrs. smith laughs.

"i'll see what i can do about getting the album for her," sujin says with a wink. "i want to remind you that i will be leaving sunday and will be gone for two weeks."

"i know hun. don't worry. i'll still pay you since you deserve those vacation days."

"mum, you don't have too," she says waving my hands.

"of course i do. jinnie, for the last two years, you've never missed a day of work. also come to work when i needed help even though you had an exam the next day. let me do you a favor, okay?"

the younger sighs giving in, "okay."

"good," she happily smiles. "let's start getting the café open. it's already 7:30."

giving a smile and a nod, sujin made her way back into a small room they use as a break room.

"hey autumn," sujin greets her co-worker and best friend in english.

"hey jinnie, how are you?" autumn asks with the warmest of smiles.

"good, what about you?" she asks as she put my bag away in my locker.

"fine. i'm just so happy spring break is next week." autumn is a third-year at uconn, university of connecticut, and in the same department as sujin.

"same, i can't wait to go back home. i miss south korea so much."

"don't forget about my albums," autumn reminds. she is too a k-pop stan too, which is why they became such good friends.

"of course. you remember when mr. jones had that meeting for incoming freshmen for the psychology department. i was listening to k-pop and you saw that i was listening to firetruck and asked if i liked nct 127," sujin asks reminiscing the memory.

"duh i remember it," she says giving her signature 'duh' look. "turns out we had the same interests other then k-pop."

the girls continued their small talk as they went back into the café area to open. it was a fairly easy day, to say the least. once it was around 1 in the afternoon, autumn and sujin both have a thirty-minute lunch. to which they go across the street to get chipotle.

"jinnie, are you getting the new 127 album?" autumn asks as they sat inside the chipotle eating the food we ordered.

"who do you think i am? of course. my friends preordered for me already," sujin answer, taking a sip of her drink. when she means her friends, it was actually her brother.

"only if you could magically get a signed album from 127, i would die and love you forever," the girl with red hair says in front sujin, eating.

"consider it done. do you have which member in mind? i know you love all of them."

"taeyong!" she accidentally says too loud by luckily no one was in the restaurant other than the workers. "how are you so confident that you can get the album signed?"

"i have my connections."
