Malfoy walks off, leaving Scarlett by herself, Lockhart walks over to Scarlett. Scarlett hearing about Lockhart through her father's stories; becomes cautious being around him. "So, did you know I'm the best looking wizard of all time?" Lockhart says to Scarlett, who only rolls her eyes. "It's true, I mean look at me love." He continues, making Scarlett uncomfortable. "Can you please stop?" Scarlett asks Lockhart, who laughs it off and keeps flirting; Scarlett asks loud enough for Snape to hear, causing him to go to them and drag Lockhart away. Scarlett realises the class is about to end so she packs her stuff up, ready to leave when Pansy walks up to Scarlett "Stay away from Draco. He's mine" She walks off, leaving Scarlett to stand there, confused. Scarlett decides she wants to skip her next class to be alone.

{The Black Lake}

Scarlett sits by the lake and talks to the mermaids, telling them about what happened in class with Lockhart, Malfoy and Pansy. They cheered her up and made her laugh so much. Snape, wondering where his daughter went, was walking around the school trying to find her when he spotted Draco standing behind a tree, looking out to the black lake. "Malfoy, why aren't you in class?" Draco jumps at Snapes voice "um... needed a break..?" Snape grunts, looking where Draco was just looking. "You like Scarlett? Is that why you're spying on her?" Snape asks, discreetly being protective of his daughter. "W-what? Me? Like a Gryffindor? As if!" Draco replies, defensive, making Snape become suspicious of Draco. "Off to class Malfoy." Snape shoves Draco off towards the school before heading to see Scarlett, who was completely oblivious to the conversation Draco and Snape had. The mermaids see Snape approaching and wave goodbye to Scarlett. "Hey Scar, how are you feeling?" Snape asks as he sits next to Scarlett. "Actually Father, I'm not sure how I feel, I'm really stressed though, Why did I get paired up with Draco Malfoy, of all people, him? And why was Lockhart flirting with me? It isn't fair" Snape frowns as his daughter rants to him about everything. Wishing he could protect her from everything that could hurt her in any way, sadly he can't since she is growing up. After sitting there for a few more minutes, they both get up and head back to school, heading straight to the dining hall for lunch.
