Together

It's been a few months since we got back. My nightmares had mostly mellowed out. Luke, Tony, and Loki were always there when I needed it, and it was really nice to have three of them there.

"Hey," Tony murmured, nuzzling the top of my head as he sat down behind me. "How'd you sleep?" I shrugged.

"It was okay." He hummed.

"No nightmares, though." I nodded, leaning back against him. "Our heat's coming up soon. Loki and I were wondering if we could do it as a group, instead of two different ones." I bit my lip. I'd been thinking a lot about this particular subject, but hadn't come to a decision yet.

"Yeah," I finally said. "We can do that."

"I'll let Loki know." For a minute, we just sat there, and it was nice. Then, Luke came in.

"Breakfast is ready," he told us. "Let's go." We got up and walked downstairs to the kitchen. Sierra and Alex were already eating, talking to Natasha and Clint. I walked over and sat beside Alex, who turned to smile at me. I smiled back, running my hand through his hair. I loved my kids.

The next morning, Tony and I co-built a nest with our mate's clothes and some of our friends around the tower. The kids came to visit us before they were supposed to leave.

"Why do you have to do this?" Alex asked, an angryish-sad look on his face. I set my hands on his arms, coming up to his level from where I was kneeling on the ground.

"This is natural," I explained, though I wasn't sure if he would get any of this. "Don't you think it's fun to stay with your grandparents?" He shook his head.

"Wanna stay with you," he complained. I smiled a little and pulled him into my arms. He relaxed against me.

"Alex, we gotta go," Clint said, from the doorway. He made a whining sound. I pulled him away from me, so he'd look at me. I brushed his hair out of his face. It needed to be cut.

"When you get back, we can do something together, alright?" He seemed to think it over before slowly nodding. I pressed a kiss to his forehead. "Okay. You wanna say goodbye?" He hugged me and kissed my cheek, then went around to hug the others. Sierra did the same, saying each name as she went. Mommy-me. Papa-Tony. Daddy-Luke. And Father-Loki. She was a cute kid.

And then, they were gone, and I wasn't sure what to do or how to feel. I hadn't had a heat with Loki in a long time and it was kinda nerve-wracking. What if I wasn't a good Omega? What if he didn't like me, anymore? What if he realized that while I was in heat?

"Something wrong?" Luke asked, kneeling beside me. He nuzzled my cheek. I looked back at him for a moment. He just looked back at me, waiting.

"I don't know," I said quietly, looking away. "Probably nothing, anyway." Loki caught my gaze for a moment. He was the god of lies. He knew I was lying. I was just glad he didn't call me out on it. I really didn't want to admit that I was afraid of having my heat with him. He'd probably think it was stupid.

"Well, since the kids are gone now," Luke started. "Why don't we lay down?" We all settled down. Tony and I were beside each other and Luke was cuddling with me while Loki was with Tony. They promised to switch out later, but I was okay with not doing that. In fact, I didn't want to. I hoped they'd forget about it later, but of course they wouldn't.

The next morning, the Alphas switched Omegas. Loki laid down beside me, pulling me into his chest. He ran in his fingers through my hair and it was really nice.

"I didn't mean to hurt you, Omega," he murmured, once Tony and Luke had fallen asleep, their soft snores a way to know they'd drifted off. "And I'm sorry for it. I still love you and I hope you really do, too. I would like to mend our relationship." I bit my lip, unsure.

"Me too," I finally spoke, though it came out quiet and, for a moment, I wasn't sure he'd heard me, but when he kissed the top of my head, I knew he'd heard me, and was glad for it.

"Get some rest," he responded. "You didn't sleep much last night." That's because I'd been uncomfortable all night, but I could sleep now. I was safe, and I knew that.

We were together.
