~[AFTER THE CHALLENGE]~

Shade walks inside an ICU Unit which held our dear bladers. Well, some of them actually.

Quon and Daigo laid immovable on the hospital beds, either their legs or heads were bandaged in thick white cloth. Others too were present in the room, some injured others not.

"Morning Contestants!" Shade almost too cheerfully for the gloomy and grim atmosphere that hung in the room.

"How can you be so cheerful in a situation like this?" Valt whispered in a barely audible tone. Why? Because they just lost two members of their team in this stupid challenge.

Phi. Bit more than three times by snakes and then stabbed in both the eyes with jagged rocks only to fall in the pool full of hungry tiger sharks.

Joshua. Very annoying at times but he didn't deserve to die. He didn't deserve to fall in pool filled with boiling sulphuric acid and die. He didn't deserve it.

None of them did.

"They didn't deserve to die like that." Ken said. He still hadn't gotten over the shock of falling in a pit filled with live crawling insects.

"Its not like I control the game. Its the audience, [N/N] and the creators. We are their toys so better get over it. Anyways we got some asks and dares from [Y/N]!" Shade said nonchalantly, shrugging off the deaths of two people like its nothing serious.

"We aren't ready for dares for not Not after all the shit we went through. Though we can answer the questions but can I ask you some questions before you do. We should be fair with each other." Shu reasoned, wanting answers.

Shrugging once again, Shade leaned against the wall and said "Why not. I would do anything to lengthen the chapter and increase my income."

Either he didn't get it or chose to ignore it, the albino stared at the dull orbs of the girl before him with his own ruby red ones and questioned "Why aren't you affected by anything that happens here? I mean the deaths, huge snakes, blood etc. And what did you mean with that statement of the audience judging our fate. Last thing I remember was falling in a pool of piranhas and then I wake up here with no injury on me. What the hell is going on?"

Narrowing her gaze slightly the female debated internally whether to actually answer the questions or not.

Why should we do it? It will only spoil all the fun. One side of her head argued while the other tried reasoning with it saying 'Cause it will lengthen the chapter and increase our income. Anyways its good to warn them beforehand so that we won't loose any more of them. Some of the audience were actually angry that we killed off Joshua and Phi so early.

Shaking her head to clear off the voices, Shade answered "For question one. I won't tell you so easily but I will give you a hint. "This isn't the first time I'm doing this or probably not even the last. For the second part its because of a hidden rule which is supposed to be a secret for you but meh. Who cares. The audience's comment matters. Every single of them. You fell into a pool of piranhas, Daigo didn't but he sustained the injuries in place of you. Ukyo was supposed to be killed by the wolves but Quon got it instead because someone wanted him off. That's the main rule. You get negative remark even from a single person and off you go in the next challenge."

This left everyone dumbfounded. This was sick. Very sick.

"Now time to answer some questions!" Shade announced, snapping her fingers to get their attention.

"Quon. The first question goes to you. Have you ever read any lemon."

Raising his eyebrow slightly under the thick layer of bandages, the blondie answered "Of course not. Why the hell would I ever read porn. I got no reason to. So the answer is no."

Humming at the satisfactory answer, Shade turned to Valt.

"Valt. Whom would you save in this room and why?"
 
Looking thoughtful for a few minutes he answered "Beybread....."

Giving him a look, she said "I said in this room. Not outside the room."

Nodding the sonic wannabe ran towards the bed where Wakiya sat and pulled out a half eaten beybread out of the blonde's pillow. "See!"

Crickets chirping.

Coughing awkwardly, Shade turned to Shu and asked "What 're your thoughts on Delta?"

Almost instantly he answered back "He's a fine and reminds me of myself  when everything was fine. He's capable of many things and I like his determination as well as perseverance."

Nodding, Shade's eyes landed on Free who was right in front of her. "So Free. Did Theodore Ģlass ask you to tell Shu he wasn't good enough so that he can join the Snake Pit?"

Silence. Everyone's attention was now turned towards the blonde who sat in front of their host.

After a few minutes of solid silence, Shade gave àn awkward cough and asked "Free. You with us?" Only to get silence as an answer. All were wondering he was dead or not when a rather large bubble popped out of his nose.

Silence once again.
