(Namjoon's POV)

I look over at the sleeping figure of Scarlett. I run my hand through her long black hair again. In her sleep, I hear her sigh. I see her move her arm, and the next thing I know, she rests her hand on my leg.

I stare at her for a bit longer before I take a look at my phone again. The time reads two-fifty-five. I click my phone off before I take another look at Scarlett. Every bit of time I have spent with her rushes back to me.

The one memory I concentrate on is the time I took her out to the park.

"Namjoon," Scarlett calls to me. I turn to look at her. The front of her long black hair falls around her face. She is looking at me with her beautiful silver-blue eyes. She is wearing her normal full black clothes. A black shirt that has cute dead across the front in white letters and a white coffin, a pair of black skinny jeans, and a pair of black Converse that have studs on them. Around her neck is a spike choker I bought for her a while ago. When I gave it to her, I told her that if she needed to she could use it as a weapon. Since then, she has worn it everyday. And she also had on a black flat bill hat facing backwards.

"Hmm, what is it Scar?" I ask her. She is two years younger than me. The day I met her, I rescued her from a boy named Adrein. He was my age and was trying to start a fight with her. That was seven years ago, when I was twelve. Ever since then, the both of us have been friends.

"What do you want for your birthday?" she asks me.

That's right, my birthday is only a week away, I remember. I'll be twenty.

I just look at her for a bit before I ask, "What do I always tell you?"

"Just spending time with me is enough," she mumbles.

I nod in agreement. Sure I've told her this since the first birthday we were friends, but it only hit me a bit ago that I like her. I like her more than what she thinks I do. The reason I have never told her is because I don't want to lose her. I'd rather sit in silence about my feelings, then chance telling her and losing her.

"But I want to get you something," she says.

"How about a day at the park?" I ask her. She gives me a look. "Fine what about a day at the park today, then on my birthday, you get me whatever you want?" I ask her.

She gives me a smile full of happiness and nods a few times.

Throughout the day, we stayed at the park. We did a lot of swinging and acting like kids. The day ended up being one of the greatest days of my life. At the end of it, I dropped her near The Center, the place she has stayed for almost all of her life.

I sigh, remembering that memory. It truly is one of my favorite memories with her.

I take another look at Scarlett's sleeping form. Once again I run my hand through her hair. In a very quiet voice, I mumble, "Why can't you notice, Scar? Sometimes you're so blind."

I guess in a way it is my own fault that she doesn't know, but I would never tell her. Not only do I not want to lose her, I also don't want her to get hurt. There is so much of my life that I haven't told her. And so much of it, she could easily get hurt by.

I have never actually lied to her, I just keep a lot of the things I do a secret. Actually, all seven of us have kept a lot of things secret from her.

In all actuality, I really want to tell her, I just don't know how. And I know that when I do, she won't be happy about it. That is one of the reasons I have kept it a secret for so long.

I feel her shift beside me. When I glance over at her, her face is scrunched up a bit. Her hand that is on my leg, tightens on my pant leg. Before she wakes, I place one of my hands on her shoulder. She suddenly relaxes by the touch.

I look away from her and release a silent sigh. I glance over at Scarlett's phone, which is on the table beside the bed. Its screen is lit up and is showing somebody is calling her.

I grab her phone and look at the name. It says Max. I quickly shake Scarlett to wake her up.

I feel her remove her hand from my leg. When I glance over, she is rubbing her eyes.

In a sleep filled voice, she asks, "What?"

"Max is calling you," I tell her. I feel slightly jealous, but I don't let her notice.

She stops what she is doing and sits up. I hold her phone out to her and she quickly takes it. When I look over, the phone has stopped ringing.

I hear her sigh and then I see her unlock her phone. After a few moments, I notice her hold her phone up to her ear. I can tell that she is still a bit tired.

"Max," she says after a few seconds.

"Scarlett, we have a problem," I hear slightly from the other side.

"What is it?" she asks, a bit of worry in her voice.

"Andrew got himself into another fight," she is told.

The room seems to go more silent than what it is. Scarlett mumbles, "With who?"

"You remember that guy he got into it with about a month ago?" she is ask.

"Damien," she says. She doesn't even let Max reply before she asks, "Where are you?"

"Just down the road from the school. You'll notice because of the group that's surrounding."

"Alright, I'll be there as soon as I can." As soon as she said that, she takes the phone away from her ear and hangs up.
