Y/N lifted his head off of his desk, and rubbed it. "Stop sleeping in class, Mr. L/N. I'm getting tired of waking you up all the time." His teacher, Ms. Tsumiki, scolded. There was a short, but audible chorus of laughter in the room, and Y/N just pulled his hood over his head.
...
Y/N looked at the paper in front of him, then at Ms. Tsumiki. She tapped her finger on her arm, waiting for an explanation. "I didn't cheat." Y/N said, getting a sigh in response. "Mr. L/N, are you really trying to tell me that you sleep through all of your classes, and still manage to get A's in all of your subjects?" She asked.
Y/N nodded reluctantly. Ms. Tsumiki sighed again, then waved him off. "Well... I've got no evidence that you are cheating, so I can't accuse you of it. But please, stay awake in class." She told him, getting a nod.
Y/N sat back in his seat, and put the papers on his desk. He sat there for a few moments in silence, then pulled out his phone to play a game on his phone. Some of the girls whispered about him to each other, and though he couldn't understand what they were saying, the tone of their voices told him whatever they were saying about him wasn't positive.
Y/N bit into his sandwich as he walked through the halls. He was held back by his teacher from lunch break, so he had to eat on his way to his favorite spot. In his other hand, he looked over the papers Ms. Tsumiki had graded. They were generally in the 80-90 area, but some of them were A's.
'Hm... need to brush up on my English more.' Y/N thought to himself, taking another bite. He could barely hear a loud group of people nearby, but he ignored it.
Only a few moments later, Y/N found himself knocked onto the floor, his sandwich splattered all over his hoodie. Looking up, he saw the school's male idol, Jun Hatsuho, looking down at him with a concerned look.
"Oh, dude! So sorry about that! You okay?" Jun asked, holding out his hand. "U-Uh... yeah." Y/N replied, taking Jun's hand. Jun hoisted Y/N to his feet, and brushed the remains of sandwich off him. "I'll pay for your cleaning, give me a sec." Jun offered, digging into his pocket.
"N-No, it's fine. I wasn't looking where I was going..." Y/N insisted, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck. Jun shrugged, then looked Y/N up and down. "Hey, aren't you the guy that's sleeping in class?" He asked. Y/N nodded. "Ah, so that's where I saw you! Knew you looked familiar." Jun replied.
One of the girls that had been tailing him tapped his shoulder. "Jun-Sama, we should get going." She said. "Huh? Oh, guess you're right, we've still gotta finish the stand for the festival next month." Jun said in return, then turned to Y/N.
"Again, really sorry. See ya later, man." Said Jun, waving as he left. The girls following him gave Y/N death glares, making him shrink a little.
Y/N watched them leave, then sighed as looked down at his spattered hoodie, and his ruined sandwich. Two feet appeared in his line of sight, making him look up. A girl from his class, a foreign exchange student named Sarah, was standing in front of him.
"Hey, I saw what happened. Don't worry about them, this happens at least three times a week." She said, trying to reassure him. "Uh... yeah. I see." He replied, and Sarah gestured with her head to the lunch line.
"Come on, I'll get you something." She said, walking over to get in line. Y/N watched her go, then looked at his sandwich. "Come on! There's more people coming!" Sarah called, snapping Y/N out of his thoughts. "C-Coming!"
...
Y/N sat across from Sarah at one the tables in the cafeteria, and took in her features. She has long, light brown hair and green eyes that have a tint of gold in them. Her skin looks soft and fair, which brings out the defining parts of her body. Her ample bust and stomach is covered with a Metallica T-Shirt, which sits snugly on top of a red, plaid skirt. Black socks go up to her thighs, and go underneath her red and white Converse.
"So, I've heard from some of the girls that you're pretty smart, even though you sleep in class all the time?" Sarah asked, tilting her head. "Yeah, I guess so. It's not that hard, really." Y/N replied, getting a shocked look from Sarah. "What?! How can you sleep through Physics and still pass?!" She asked incredulously. "I-I don't know." Y/N muttered, looking away.
"Hmmmmmm?" Sarah hummed. She then dug in her backpack, taking out a few papers. "Then can you help me with these?" She asked, smiling nervously. Y/N shrugged, then switched seats so he could point accurately at the paper when he needed to. Sarah listened carefully, and did the problems and equations as he explained them. They continued this until all of her papers were done.
...
The final bell rang, and all the students got up to leave. As Y/N put some papers into his backpack, he heard a voice call his name. When he looked up, he saw Sarah standing in the doorway, looking back at him. "See you tomorrow." She said, flashing him a smile as she left.
Y/N felt his chest tighten. The image of Sarah's smile flashed in his mind, and he felt his face get hot. 'What the hell...' He thought to himself.
