New day

I wake up nice and early for my first day at Aoba Johsai High School.

I gotta admit, I'm nervous for sure but I know my beautiful parents are watching me from the heavens so I know I'm not alone.

I decide to change into my uniform early and clean up nicely to make a good impression

First time at a new school can't be that bad, right?

I put on my uniform, put some light natural looking makeup, brush out my hair and return to my room

I pack up my stuff and look over at my gym bag and manager application

I don't wanna be manager but uncle wants me to, he says it's a good experience for meeting new people and helping design clothes for their volleyball team.  I hope they're as nice as he says

Just as I'm about to walk down the stairs, my uncle's voice cuts my thoughts "Iha? Are you up? Your aunt made some nice breakfast for you!"

I smile widely, my uncle and aunt are the sweetest people ever. They've been raising me for 2 years since my parents passing and have never failed to make me feel at home.

"Yeah I'm up! I'm on my way down right now" I say, with a huge smile on my face. I run down the stairs quickly and jump into my aunt's arms

She smiles widely "Look at her! So well cleaned up! Absolutely gorgeous!" She boasts to my uncle

I eat my breakfast and grab my bags. I turn around and hug the two one last time.

I open the door and say my goodbyes.

I take a deep breathe and smile

Aoba Johsai. Here I come.

The walk was peaceful, warm but a light breeze aswell

I enter and immediately get some stares, but they're good ones. Smiles. and some boys looking like they may be admiring me.

I realized they were and a light pink tints my cheeks. That's a first,getting checked out

I check my schedule and make my way to my class. 3B huh? Near my locker too! Perfect!

I walk into the classroom smiling and sit down by a desk near the windows in the front row. There's another desk next to it but I'm not sure who's it is.

As I read a book about clothing designs, a loud yet calm voice cuts my concentration

"Excuse me? Is anyone sitting Here?

I look up to the voice, a freakishly tall blonde girl stands infront of me, with the cutest smile.

I smile softly, "No, nobody's sitting here"

"May I take a seat Here?" She asks politely

"Absolutely" I say, making room for her to sit

We got along pretty quickly despite our differences. She was a tall volleyball player, captain of the girls team. Nishida Risu.

We both agreed to having lunch together at the rooftop. Luckily we both had all classes together.

(Timeskip to lunch because yes)

After we finished eating, I look out to the distance for a few minutes in silence until she speaks up.

"You resemble coach Nobuteru quite a lot.. are you related to him by any chance?"

I sigh lightly and turn towards her, my golden orbs meeting her brown eyes.

"He's my uncle, my parents died a few years ago and I live with him, that's why I came in the middle of third year. I was home schooled for a while but got sick of it so I asked uncle to let me be in Aoba Johsai" I say, with a soft voice

She gives a sad yet sympathetic smile, "I'm sorry for your loss. You're very strong.-OHHH ARE YOU GONNA BE ON OUR TEAM?" She suddenly says loudly

I jump back a little, laughing

"Nah I don't play volleyball anymore, my uncle did sign me up to be manager for the boys team"

"Ah jeez have fun with that. Their captain is a popular dude who has annoying fangirls" she says, slightly annoyed

Fangirls?? How good looking could this dude be?

"So have you met your soulmate yet?" She grins

Yeah right, I'm my dreams with these stupid words I got

"No, I haven't yet sadly. How about you?" I look up at her

She grins intensely, "yup! My soulmates the vice captain and ace of the boys team! Iwaizumi Hajime!" She exclaims happily.

She's so happy. That's cute

"Yikes I gotta go get ready for practice now since our class got cancelled. Catch ya later Iha!" She gets up and waves

I wave back-, man even she's met her soulmate. I'm never gonna find mine!

I pack up my bento and head over to my locker. I shut my eyes for a second not noticing my legs still walking

When suddenly

THUD!!!

I fall to the floor.. ouch! What the hell-
