It was 5:34 when I got home. I may have stopped at Starbucks. I got home and got my stuff. Then I heard the door bell ring. I got up and made my way to the front door. "Hey Angela. Come on in" I said opening the door wide enough for her to slip in. "I brought all my books for this" she said showing me her heavy bag as we were walking up to my room. We got to my room and sat down. "Do we want to print it out or make a PowerPoint and send it in" I asked not knowing where to start. "Let's print it" she said pulling out loads of books. She handed me a few books. "Ok Chloe, we need to start with the very beginning of the plant" she said flipping to a page in one of the many books. "So we start at the seed then?" I asked making sure I was correct. "Yup" she said popping he 'p'. It was about 20 minutes later until she said "so you know that one friend of Bryce hall, ya know the hottest dude in school, well ya. His friend Josh is so hot. Like we've talked so much. I think we should date" she said all lovey dovey. Like she was addicted to him, but in a weird way. "Cool. Let's get back to work" I said just wanting to get this done. We worked from book to computer for about and hour. We were about a 3rd or a 4th into it. We stopped at the part when the seed starts to sprout. I heard the front door creak open but I didn't really care. "Chloe I'm home" mom shouted. "Ok" I shouted back. We worked for about another hour. "I should be going now" she said gathering her stuff. "Ok, I'll see you soon" I said. I walked her to the front door. She left and drove off. "Who was that" mom asked. "My partner for a science project" I said grabbing a bowl of fruit. "Well I hope y'all were doing your work and not fooling around" mom said snatching a strawberry from my bowl. "We were working " I said reassuring her. She just nodded her head and walked off. What to do. I got up and put my bowl of fruit in the fridge. I put my hair in a pony tail and walked over to Bryce's house. I knocked on the door and his mom answered. "Hi Chloe" she said greeting me. "Hi Mrs. Hall. Is Bryce home?" I asked. "Yes he is. He's in his room" she said letting me in. "Thanks" I said walking up the stairs. I walked into his room and he was playing his Xbox. He didn't even notice I came in. Ya big dummy. So I thought I would scare him. I tip toed behind him and quickly grasped his shoulders and rapidly shaking them. I swear he jumped 10 feet. "What the hell Chloe!" he said with a tone practically yelling. Once he said that I just sat on his bed. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know he would react like that. It's like giving a kid a slice of cake and them trowing it back up. I could tell he was walking to me. I knew he sat down when the bed dipped. I felt his arms wrap around me. I just leaned my head on his shoulder. "I'm so sorry baby. I didn't mean to hurt you" he said like he cared. I couldn't say. I didn't know what to say. Maybe sorry I scared you, but then I would just be a self blamer. "Wanna go swim" I said looking up at him with puppy dog eyes. "Any thing for my little turd" he said laughing at the last part. "Ok, you get ready and I will. Meet me in your pool" he gave me the thumbs up. I stood up and walked out of his house and to mine. I threw on this one piece.
