A Chance Meeting and a One in Ten Billion Offer

Author's Note, Due to losing 12 stories because of that weird glitch I am going to have to repost all of them until the issue is fixed by Wattpad.

It was a normal school day, I was trying to write in one of my hero notebooks as the class was super rowdy as per the usual. Paper balls were being thrown about the room as well as airplanes and other objects. A stapler is thrown across the room and smashes a window opposite the door and I just continue to write in my journal. The whole idea that All Might would give me this legendary ‘One for All’ was insane to even begin to dream about so I had given up on that prospect. Even though I'm quirkless I can become a hero if I try hard enough right?” Soon the teacher walks in with a bunch of papers in his arms and tries to calm the class from using their quirks all willy nilly. The teacher gets to the front of the class before beginning to speak, I for one try to make myself as invisible as possible because all that i've known since my diagnosis was resent and bullying. 

“Alright settle down, wait a second. Where's my stapler and why is there a hole in the window? Who did this?” The teacher asks as everyone instantly points as me and I ignore them. I continue to draw in my hero book designing a costume for myself that I can wear when I become a hero. “Don't give me that, Midoriya just draws in his notebook while you lot sit there and use your quirks in school. Which is illegal by the way! He's my best student so knock it off.” He reprimands before clearing his throat and stepping behind his wooden podium. “Now, since you all are third years you need to start thinking of a career soon so today we are doing career aptitude tests.” He says picking up the stack and tapping it on the side a couple times before throwing them in the air and exclaiming: “But we aren't doing these since I know you all just want to be heroes.” This causes the class to start celebrating and using their quirks again. 

“Don't lump me in with all these extras teach!” Kacchan says with a smug look on his face. “Here we go again.” I think before his tirade starts. “I'm the only one from this landfill of a school that is getting into UA hight. All you other extras are gonna end up sidekicks to some busted D-lister. I'm gonna be greater than All Might himself and He will give me the legendary quirk One for All!” He says jumping up on his seat and self proclaiming himself the next holder of that legendary power. 

“Bakugou Katsuki, it seems you applied to UA right? Oh and Midoriya applied too but he applied to both the general education and hero courses.” He says before the class bursts out laughing. 

“Really? Deku thinks he has a shot at getting in the hero course. Come on man be reasonable the first villain you meet will kill you on the spot.” 

“Be real Deku, you wont even survive the entrance exams.” 

“He probably thinks All Might will some how give Him of all people One for All.” 

    At this point I shut down and continue to draw in my book before Kacchan slams his hands on my desk in anger. I look up at him with tired and dead eyes as he goes on to berate me for just existing. It's not like I chose to be quirkless, we used to be best friends… What happened? If he was the one that was quirkless I would have stayed by his side the entire time and encouraged him to become a hero. After what feels like a twenty minute rant the teacher gets him to stop and I go back to writing in my notebook. The school day goes on in what feels like an eternity and finally we get to go home. As I'm packing my things I make sure to pack my notebook first and I'm holding my text book in my hand before it is snatched by Kacchan who starts flipping through the pages. 

“Don't you dare even think about applying to UA Deku. I'm gonna be the only one from this school to get in. Look, if you want a quirk that much there is a way to get one and it's not from All Might.” He says before exploding the textbook and throwing it through the window. “Take a swan dive off the roof and pray you get one in the next life.” He says with a laugh before walking away.
