Embryonic stanza bounces around my head
Nurtured by thought it grows
Joined by more, sisters and brothers
Family of insights and emotions
They soon outgrow the mind-womb
I grab my pen and write
Ink transforms the moleskine
Children born onto the page
Refinements and tweaks
"How does that scan?"
I read the verse aloud
Contented, complete
"Will anybody read it?"
