Takuma's POV
It's been a couple weeks since I met Travis and I have been all over him. I don't know why. Is it because he gives me attention and affection?? I guess. Diran hasn't been hurting me at all. Even my friend is suspicious.
To be honest, I'm also suspicious. And I haven't seen him around as much. Is he transferring or something? I was somewhat enjoying our time together. I thought we had an understanding...?
He can't leave, he just can't! I was getting used to his abuse! Okay, maybe that isn't the best thing to say, but he is my first crush, what can I say? And he fixed me up afterwards too!
I pace again because this is too bothersome to me. I need Diran around. I need him, I need him...
"Hey, Takuma. Why are you pacing? Shouldn't you be eating lunch?" I jump a little. "Travis! Don't do that! You gave me a heart attack!" "I guess that means a surprise hug wouldn't be very appreciated?" I roll my eyes, Travis always does that. "You can hug meeee," he hugs me almost instantly.
"So, where is Taro? I haven't seen him around today?" I shrug. "I don't know, I guess he got behind in his work or something? Not like that's a surprise..." I mutter, eating my lunch. Travis sits down next to me when I sit down. We just eat there for a while.
I look up when I hear running feet— "Travis! Hey! Let's go investigate that janitor's closet! I think something might be fishy about the janitor, because he hasn't come out of his closet, EVER!!!" He grabs Travis and makes him run over somewhere with food spilling everywhere.
I'm still in shock when someone appears before me.
"Takuma. It's been a while. Let me show you a trick," Diran says, holding out his hand. I'm hesitant but I grab his hand. He turns our hands upside down and then we're in another dimension. I cling to him, scared.
"Now now, Takuma, it'll be okay. No need to be afraid. Everything will be all right. You're safe with me and everything on the outside will stay outside. Don't you believe in me?" He asks. I numbly nod as I don't even know what is going on...
"Diran, I hate to break this to you, but you're no magician and we don't have different dimensions, SO WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" I scream.
Diran chuckles. "What do you think this is? Do you really think I'm leaving? No. And I don't have magic, so what is this?" I glare at Diran.
"God, even in your dream you're a bitch and not very bright—" "WAIT, THIS IS A DREAM?!" Diran nods. "Because you somehow fell asleep under the tree. Yeah, you did. And right now, school is over in the real world. I'm really surprised no school staff has done anything about a boy sleeping under a tree. OH. Another question, why hasn't super cool Travis come or sweet Taro?" I try not to tear up at the thoughts my friends didn't come...
"Well, guess who did come and pick you up right now?" He points to himself. I gasp. "Diran!" "Yes, because I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing I left you under that tree in the cold. Now it's about time you woke up, don't you think, little one?" He puts his hand over my eyes and slowly puts me to sleep...or awake?
I gasp when I wake up. "OH MY FRICKING GOD!" "Not so loud, squirt!" I stop struggling once I hear Diran's voice. Dream Diran was right, he did pick me up.
...
"..."
"Diran, you really did come for me?" I ask, looking at him. He is currently carrying me, so he can't stop but he gets a confused look. "How do you know I was coming?" "Oh, just a hunch." "...Well, I saw you at lunch and you were asleep. I left you alone, thinking you would wake up and leave or your friends would, but they never did. So just now, I decided to take you home..."
I try to bite back a smile.
Diran, my crush, couldn't leave me alone and he is taking me home...
Wait— "HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE MY HOUSE IS?!" "Shhh, I just do. Now pipe down and rest," he shushes me. I pout. No fair.
I play with his collar as I wait for him to arrive to my house. I yawn big. He chuckles a little, I pinch him.
"Ow, geez. Just tryna help and you hurt me," "I did not. All I did was pinch you. That didn't even hurt, admit it," "if it didn't hurt, why did I say ow?" "Because you're mean and like to make fun of me," I cross my arms.
"Why would I make fun of you?" He asks. I roll my eyes. "Because I'm small. Shall I read the last few chapters to get you to remember?" "Nah, I don't need a refresher. But hey, I was forced to say all that!" "I was too!" I huff. He smirks. "It's the author's fault for our disputes," he points out. "Dang right it is. We ought to sue!" I glare at the sky.
(These guys are so ungrateful -_-)
"Wellll, anyway. Here we are, your house, my princess," Diran says, putting me down. I bow slightly. "Thank you for not leaving me to die... BUT HEY, you didn't leave me to die—WHAT WERE YOU THINKINGGGG?! GAH!" I pinch him hard for that! "Ow! Will you stop?! So ungrateful, now I know why I'm so mean to you—" "YOU ADMITTED IT!"
"Not really—" I shut him up by kissing his cheek, then I open the door and run inside as if my life depended on it, because it does!
I sit on my bed and look up at the ceiling. Wow, life is so crazy. This was definitely a bit fictional if you think about it. Magic? Dream Diran? Wow. I can't believe all that happened today...
Before I fall asleep, I send a text to both Travis and Taro, saying how I'm disappointed that they left me to die and not even take me home, those hobos, pffft.
