Idk what I'm supposed to do for three weeks off school.

Katrina above.

:Jack:

"I just don't get it."

I smile, tilting her chin up. "You're short as fuck," I grin.

"Jack!" She slaps my hand away. She sighs. "I don't know..."

"You don't know what?"

"Sometimes I just wish she would have stayed longer..."

"Ellana. She's hated this place since she was a kid. Did you really expect her to stay much longer than she did?"

"She just left so early."

"I know somebody else who left early, too."

"I was eighteen! And you kidnapped me!"

I shrug.

:Jasmyn:

"What the fuck do I do?!" I yell, tugging on my hair.

"I don't know! How am I supposed to know?! Calm down!"

"Fuck!"

"Ladies... You don't have to do anything... I'm a doctor. I've got this."

I look at my seizing friend. "I should still do something!"

"You are not taking a calming approach to this, Alpha. Try backing up. Please pick up the object you have dropped on the floor."

I pick up the keys, and look at Ace, who is shaking compulsively.

"Jazzy, why don't we sit down while the doctor does his job?"

"Don't lay a fucking hand on me, Katrina!"

Kat is my friend... ex-friend.

"Jasmyn, sit your ass down." Kat takes a step closer.

"Don't fucking take another step! If you get up in my face, I will make sure your's is messed up more."

Doctor Adolf sighs. "Ladies! Sit down, please!"

My dad got a new doctor when he heard I took over a pack, and sent Adolf after me, to "keep me safe, or something". As if I need protection.

I groan, but follow the order, anyway.

"You don't need to glare at me."

"Oh, really?" I scoff. "Because I have no reason to?"

"No! That's not-"

"I have got him stabilized." Adolf looks up at me. "Grab that pillow, please."

I toss it at him, and crawl beside my friend, watching as he is turned onto his side.

"I am going to wait here for a little until he wakes up." The doctor checks over Ace, checking for God knows what. Probably injuries.

"Is everything alright, then?"

I glance at Katrina. "Yeah, uh, why are you even here?"

"I heard yelling, so I decided maybe I should check in."

"Yeah, sure. On Ace?"

"That is not-"

"Oh, it's fine, Kat." I stand, slowly taking steps towards her. "I know about your little crush on my best friend. It's okay. Just know that I wouldn't let you hurt him."

"Hurt him?" She rolls her eyes, crossing her arms.

I emphasize the next sentence with a poke to her collar bone on every syllable. "I won't let you hurt him."
