Chapter 1
"Randy, one of your boxes is mixed with mine!" Robyn Kelley yelled so that her twin brother would be able to hear her from the other room. Robyn was almost finished unpacking when she had noticed a box full of Randy's weapons.
The twins were identical in features because they both shared the same ash blonde hair and emerald eyes. Being the woman amongst the twins, Robyn's hair was medium in length whilst Randy sported a crew cut. Robyn and Randy shared the same physical appearance...but differed when it came to weapons that they could yield.
"What time is your shift at the hospital?" Randy went inside Robyn's room to grab his possession. The twins were delayed as they were supposed to get settled in their new apartment yesterday. Unfortunately, Randy needed to get his last paycheck from the previous station where he worked that was why they were just unpacking now.
"Seven in the morning which means I still have an hour to spare," Robyn sat down on her bed to rest. Acting like superheroes whilst being adults was a difficult task for the twins. If only they could live a normal life, one of them could have had been married by now. "The Nemeton's strong here in Beacon Hills. It's no wonder why it came here,"
"Hopefully, it won't be such a pain in the ass so I can focus on my job which is fighting crimes without the supernatural element," Randy was already hired as a deputy in the Beacon County Sheriff Station. He was a great cop as he always wanted to do the right thing. He strongly believed that the world would be a better place without the wrongdoers.
"You'll be great. Besides, you don't need to worry it too much," Robyn smiled at her twin. "We are born fighters. Hunting criminals is an easy task for you,"
"True," Randy agreed. "I just hope that we're not going to live our lives like this forever," what Randy had said was not just a figure of speech, he meant it literally. The twins were immortal. They were only twenty-six years old and the rest of their lives would be centuries next. They could still remember when their father told them that he was already six hundred years old. At first, they did not believe it...but what was not to believe when their father proved to be a supernatural creature?
"It's our job, Randy," Robyn reminded. "We have these powers so that we can help those who don't have it. There's no need for us to question it because we have devoted our lives to the cause,"
"I wonder how long you're going to live up to your word," Randy shook his head. He knew that Robyn was a hopeless case. His twin sister was someone who would give up her own happiness for the peace of the world. He hoped that someday, Robyn would find something worth living for. Randy did not want Robyn to be stuck with the cause forever. Unlike her, he wanted to find a reason to keep fighting...not because he needed to, but because he wanted to.
"I honestly don't know. The future is not something that I have a clear vision of," Robyn admitted. She had never thought about the future because she only troubled herself with the present. "Well...I need to get ready for work," Robyn stood up. "Who knows? Maybe the monster will show up injured in the hospital."

"Please ensure that the patient in room 328 takes his meds right on time," Robyn instructed the nurse in Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital. Robyn Kelley was a doctor, a neurosurgeon to be precise. Skipping a few grades made her one of the youngest doctors in the United States.
Finally, Robyn's shift had now reached its end. All she wanted to do was to go home and rest. Unluckily, it seemed like her shift would be extended when a bloodied teenager was rushed in the emergency room.
"Doctor," a nurse named Melissa McCall called for Robyn's attention. "We need your help. She's coughing a lot of blood,"
The teenager was placed in an isolated room so that Robyn would be able to examine what was wrong with her. Just as Robyn was about to touch the teenager, the teenager sat up and literally puked her guts out. All the nurses in the same room were horrified. First thing that escaped the teenager's body were her intestines...second was her own heart. The teenager looked like she was choking before she dropped down on the floor, lifeless.
Robyn looked at one of the nurses' nametags and called, "Nurse McCall, can you please pull out this teenager's file? I want to check her medical history. Kindly bring it to my office once you've retrieved it," the doctor went to her office and waited for the teenager's medical history. Robyn was sure that there was not anything normal about the teenager's death. Now, all Robyn needed to figure out was if the death was caused by the supernatural creature that he and her twin brother were hunting.

Robyn hurriedly drove to the Beacon County Sheriff Station where Randy was working. The doctor made a photocopy of the deceased teenager's medical history to show to her brother. Once she was inside the station, she sat on the chair beside her brother's desk.
Randy was not surprised in Robyn's arrival. His twin sister had already called him before she arrived. "What did you find out about Virna Oberlin, sis?"
"I checked her medical history and there's no record of any terminal illness," Robyn showed her brother the photocopy. "That girl was healthy. There's no other explanation of why this happened,"
Randy sighed. Everyone in the station knew that Virna was dead because it happened in Beacon Hills High School. "People think that she was poisoned that's why we're also involved with the investigation. The Sheriff told us that someone might held a grudge and poisoned her," the deputy pulled out a file from his drawer. "Here is a printed screenshot taken from her phone,"
Robyn looked at the screenshot and studied it.

Unknown Number: What do you wish for?
Virna: I want to weigh half my weight.
Unknown Number: Send this message to three other people and your wish will come true.

"She sent it to three other people," Randy added. "I have listed all the names. We just need to track them one by one,"
"There's no doubt about it," Robyn flicked her tongue. She was reminded of how Virna's death, the way that the teenager puked out her heart and intestines, disgusted her. "This is the Djinn's doing,"
"Looks like you two are knowledgeable about supernatural creatures," a new voice joined the conversation. "Care to tell me what you know?"
