Words: 1210

A/N- Hi guys! Decided to write another longer fic for Gabriel as my fics of him become quite popular, this one I loved to write and I know you wing people will just love it. If you want a part two just say so! (My requests are open as always!) Thanks lovelies!

"Gabe!" You started, he interrupted you,

"No, you can't see them." He sat down and crossed his arms. You looked at him with those puppy eyes and said.

"Please, pretty please?" You sat down next to him and put your head on top of his crossed arms.

"Y/N! I said no" You flinched at his words and got up, you didn't say another word and went to your room in the bunker. You sat down in your bed and grabbed an old pair of Dean's headphones he let you use and put on any song, something to drown out everything. Gabriel just yelled at you, he never yelled at you. You thought some more and kept repeating the word sorry, sorry sorry sorry... You heard a flap and suddenly Gabriel was in your room, he looked at you and sat down on your bed. He quietly pushed his hands to remove your headphones. You furrowed your brows.

"Why are you sorry?" Gabriel said, you crossed your arms and turned away from him. You weren't trying to be mean but just trying to hide the tears that pricked at your eyes.

"I'm sorry," He said and opened up his hands. You went into them and he rubbed your back, you closed your eyes and snuggled into his chest. He whispered to your softly,

"I never let people see my wings..." He fingered through your hair and held you closer.

"In fact," He paused, seeming to find the right words,

"It's been at least a millennium since I've ever even made them visible to the human eye" You nodded for him to go on and continued to listen.

"It's just hard for me to let someone see them, they've been through hell and back." He paused and chuckled softly,

"Literally." You brought your hand up to his brown locks and ran your fingers through it, calming him, his muscles were tense even talking about his wings. He needed to get over it. Over that fear. You wondered if it was really fear or more of an apprehensive nervousness. You brought your head from his chest and smiled at him. You said softly,

"You don't have to show me if you don't want to," Secretly you wanted him to so bad, it was almost a need, not a want to see them. You had heard countless stories, mostly from Castiel about the wings of the archangels. Gabriel's though had intrigued you the most. Golden? You wondered, how could they be golden? Castiel told you that since he was the messenger archangel he needed especially strong wings, so he had well...Six. You asked him about them more.

"What did they look like?" Castiel looked up, seeming to remember a long-forgotten memory.

"They were, in human terms, beautiful." He continued, smiling,

"White at the base for purity, and gold at the ends," He went into a little tangent.

"I never quite knew why they were gold, he would never tell me... I don't even know if he knew, or if God ever told him." He seemed to fall into a daydream at that point, so you stopped asking him questions. Gabriel pulled you from your thoughts,

"You can see them..." He seemed hesitant but continued. Your eyes widened and asked,

"Really?" He nodded. He got up out of the bed and went to the least obstructed part of your room. He asked you gently to close your eyes, you did and a bright light filled them. He told you to open them and you did. Your mouth dropped open.

Golden, white at the base, just like Castiel had said. Each feather in a seemingly ordered place, moving with the flow of the air in the room. A couple of places they were a little ruffled, but that could have been from being kept in secret for so long. They moved up and down with Gabriel's breaths and he looked to them from side to side, seemingly remembering their strength. The wings poured a certain intangible strength from them, like something ethereal and otherworldly, as they were. Each movement they seemed to glow a little brighter. Your eyes could be tricking you, but you almost could see a golden glow emitting from them.

"Gabriel" You breathed out, he nodded for you to continue.

"God, they're beautiful" He smiled and the wings seemed to move a little behind him, feigning embarrassment. His face had an obvious blush painted on them and you moved to be in front of him. You caressed his face.

"They're beautiful...Just like you" He smiled widely and kissed you softly. His lips tasted like whiskey and chocolate, surprisingly good. You pulled away and asked him.

"Why are they golden?" He sighed and thought for a few seconds, debating whether to tell you or not.

"God told me I was the messenger, to give the word of God to Mary and Joseph. He told me that to have golden wings is to have the most recognizable wings, to be able to be recognized as an angel to every human. Though they didn't see them, I guess it was for cosmetic reasons." You chuckled softly and said to him,

"I guess that's why they call you the most handsome angel in the universe?" He seemed confused and started,

"No one's eve-" You kissed him, he responded and caressed your waist. You felt a serene warmth fulfill you and you broke away from the kiss to look around you. There were his wings, in all their glory, wrapped around you. Though none of the feathers were touching you, you asked him quietly.

"Can I touch them?" He guided your hand to them and let you feel the tips of the feathers, he led to to the tops of his wings, where small feathers were. You looked below and found that the six wings were not individual wings, but instead joined at the base, spreading out to make six individual tips of wings. Suddenly you felt the feathers and your hand started to tingle. His wing seemed to subconsciously melt into your hand and press up against it. Gabriel shrugged.

"They have a mind of their own sometimes" You laughed and pet them softly. You took your hand off and them and hugged Gabriel tightly, he hugged back and again you felt that familiar warmth, this time you felt the wings touching you and enveloping the both of you. You smiled into his chest and brought the back of you hand out to touch them again, Gabriel sighed in bliss and brought the wings even closer.

"I love you, Gabe," Gabriel said softly back,

"I love you too"

Months went by and he seldom put his wings away when he was with you alone. You cooked around them, walked around them, and lived around them. You would "accidentally" brush by them or "accidentally" brush your hand against them but you knew he liked it. The wings themselves seemed to take a liking to you. Before Gabriel even knew you entered the room the wings seemed to perk up. It was perfect living with them, and it was more perfect that it was your little secret. You loved his wings, and he loved them too.
