it was a dark, hollow, night, mingyu was on his bed, unable to sleep because something was keeping him up. oh right, his window wasn't closed. he got up to close his window to keep himself safe, and to keep his mom from barging in, in the middle of the night and shout at him for not keeping himself safe by closing the window. why does he need to keep himself safe, you may ask? well, there has been a killer on the loose and they were instructed to keep safe and close the windows and lock the doors. mingyu thought it was absolute bullshit.

"the killer would get in either way" he thought.

mingyu lied back on his bed after closing his window, not noticing that there was a strange figure in the darkest corner of the room. he attempted to fall back asleep again but he just couldn't. he wasn't paranoid about the killer, he just couldn't get any sleep.

after a bit, he felt a hand on his mouth. "shhhh, don't yell." a masked person had told him, and he listened. the person had started to cut mingyu's neck bit by bit and mingyu made no noise but hiseyes rolled at the back of his head. the person was confused. usually, people would be screaming in agony, having their neck being cut, but this person? didn't do anything instead. he was a bit amazed, too. he stopped cutting mingyu's neck and uncovered his mouth. "hey.... i was enjoying that..." mingyu said, in an annoyed tone. "you enjoyed that ?" the person asked with their deep voice. "of course. felt like pleasure" mingyu giggled. something about this person amazed the masked person. the murderer carved something into mingyu's neck while mingyu enjoyedthe sensation on his neck. the person left a note under mingyu's pillow and opened the window, taking off.

mingyu's mother barged into the room and inspected mingyu. "honey, are you alright? we heard noises up here." mingyu nodded "i'm alright, or maybe something more than alright, i'm fantastic!" he smiled as he felt the blood, trickling down his neck. luckily, his mom didn't realise it. she then noticed the open window. "mingyu.. WHY DID YOU LEAVE THE WINDOW OPEN, AGAIN? THE KILLER COULD'VE GOT IN!" she shouted at him. "but they haven't." he told his mom, even though he did get in, while getting up to close his window to put his mom at peace. he earned a smack on the head while doing so. he just smiled, enjoying the feeling of the pain he'd earned. his mother left before he could turn around.

he lied back on his bed and smiled. remembering the pain from his neck from earlier. all he could think about was the person and how deep his voice was, it was kind of hot. he felt something under his pillow and took it out. it was a note from him.

he read it and blushed profusely. he had never caught someone's eye, so this was a first.

and apparently the killer's name is wonwoo, or his suspected name since it was at the bottom of the letter. he thinks to himself before he slips away to his unconsciousness while smiling. maybe he wasn't so bad after all.
