Barely Hanging on Strange Love

Chapter 3.

"'Sup dude?" Rhys nodded at Austin who now joined us in English. I had this class with the two of them. 

"How's it going guys?" Austin slumped down in his chair on my left while Rhys was on my right.

"Jake, you know the new kid?" Rhys asked Austin who nodded " totally beat the shit out of some guy cos' he said that ginger's have no soles " Rhys explained while grinning approvingly.  

We were now into our 3rd week at College. Nothing exciting. I have classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I get the weekend off. Yeah! 

The guys kept the conversation going totally ignoring me in the middle of them while I doodled on my notebook. Students started walking into the classroom or should I say lecture hall.  

We got here pretty early. Suddenly I felt that intense gaze on me again. By now I know that it's Tyler.  

I had this feeling that whenever he is close to me, I have to be beside him. It felt like some kind of magnetic pull. And let me tell you, boy was it annoying.  

The guy may be hot and all but he is a jerk. Sometimes. Jake - Tyler's younger brother - has become one of us now. When I say one of us I mean that he joined our tight group of friends. Tyler has his ' tough ' buddies with him everywhere, he sometimes comes up and chats to us but that is rarely.

I glared at the douche and continued to doodle.  

"You alright up there?" Justin, my cousin asked me through our mind link. 

"Yeah, just peachy "I replied sarcastically. 

"What is up with you and that new guy anyway?" Justin questioned which made me grind my teeth together.  

"I don't know what his problem is, but I ain't receiving a good vibe from him." I replied. There is nothing up with me and Mr Cocky over there. Gosh. 

"Do you smell that authority coming from him?" Justin asked me curiously which made me lift my head up and stare at my cousin. He sensed me staring at him because he looked at me. I just frowned at him. 

"Huh? What do you mean? "I asked him in confusion. Is the guy on drugs or what? Tyler doesn't smell of authority, well at least I didn't notice.  

"Duh. He smells like an Alpha to me. "Justin replied and I swear I heard him mutter ' stupid little child' under his breath thinking I wouldn't hear. Of course I would hear! I'm the same as him after all. Well maybe a bit stronger. I smirked to myself.  

"So, what you're trying to say is? AND DON'T CALL ME STUPID! "I screamed the last bit in his mind knowing it would hurt. I saw Justin scrunch his face up and wink from the noise. Ha-ha serves the bugger right. 

"God woman! Can you get any louder? Sorre-y. "Justin replied sarcastically." But what I'm saying is that he aka Tyler is one of our kind. This means Jake aka your friend is also. "Justin explained slowly as if talking to a 5 year old. 

My eyes widened as realisation hit me. "Oh " was my smart reply. 

"But how come I didn't smell them?" I ask Justin confused. 

"Because you tend to turn off your senses at school?" Justin replied.  

"Fine then. Be like that Mr Smarty Ass. "I replied and blocked him which earned me a glare from him. I suddenly realised that even though no one could hear mine and Justin's conversation, they could see our facial expressions. This made me glance at the two guys on my sides. Austin didn't notice but Rhys gave me a weird look so I just shrugged in response and said "Family love ". Thankfully he dropped the subject.
