I was about to be senior in high school and I needed some extra cash to buy a car. So, I decided to look for a job. I searched the newspapers daily for any job openings anywhere but I found stories about the missing children than I did job listings. It was a strange time. My parents didn't want me going out anywhere, and most parents keep their children indoors at all times. 5 missing children. That month, it was in the paper, in the news, it was everywhere. They all seemed to be either 7 or 9 years old.
"Gee, what happened to those kids..." I wondered, asking myself that.
I came from a small town from Pennyslyvania but, these disappearances brought alot of attention to our town. However, these reports didn't stop me from going out to look for a job. I left about, 10 minutes away from walking distance from the big mall. They had Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria in it. And while I was applying to some stores in that mall, I notice that Freddy's Pizzeria had Help Wanted sign on the door. So I went in to apply.

"Hey, I would like to apply for a job...?" I asked the employee standing by for a job application. And without responding, he called for a manager. A man probably in his late 30s walked towards me and greeted me, immediately asking when I could start. He didn't even interview or talked to me, just basically offered me the job right away. This shocks me because I never heard of a job that in required some kind of interview.
"Alright, I could start working immediately." I told the manager, slightly having strange thoughts about this job.

"You can come back tomorrow." He said.
"Huh...?" I asked curiously.

"You have training to do, and you'll also recieve your uniform." He said in a serious tone.
"Alright then." I said with a nod.

I left the place so excited that I didn't even think about how weird it was. I had gotten the job. Now I can save up for a car before school starts. It wasn't until I got back home and started to realize how strange it was that I was spontaneously offered a job with no interviewing.

They basically just hired a complete stranger. How did they know if I was qualified or able to do the job? I imagine this they were just really short staffed in decided to just be happy I got the job.
