"Ahhh!" Marty screamed in agonizing pain.

"I have to pull over! I'm taking that thing out!" Jamie yelled.

He pulled over by a random apartment complex. Jamie got out of the car rushing to his friends aid. He kept the car running just in case they ran into any problems. The good thing was that they were out of the woods, so they didn't have to worry about hunters. Bad thing was, if Marty screamed, someone might hear him.

Jamie looked at Marty. He was sweating terribly, and tried to keep in his pain. Jamie took off his white shirt that had small streaks of Martys' blood on it. He tossed it in Marty's weak hands.

"Put this in your mouth, this is going to hurt."

Marty did, and got ready.

Jamie grabbed the knife, and tore it out of Marty's stomach easily. Marty screamed in agonizing pain, but the shirt kept it muffled. Jamie turned around, and glanced at the knife. He then threw the knife on the other side of the street.

"God, that hurt more than when Steven Smith broke my nose in 7th grade."
Jamie let out a breath of relief. He knew that was a good sign. Marty tried to hand the shirt back to Jamie, but it had been in Marty's mouth so he looked at him like he was stupid.
"I have a few shirts in the trunk. They smell though." Marty said laughing and coughing.

"As long as it doesn't smell like ass!" Jamie replied smirking.
Jamie bent over to Marty, and he lifted Marty's red jacket. His wound wasn't healing. In fact, it had black blood dripping down.

"Damn it, I am gonna die. " Marty said

Jamie looked at Marty like he was over exaggerating.
"Callum used to say, if we don't know what strain of wolfsbane it is-" Jamie said being interrupted

"We've got to burn it out" Marty finished.

Marty let out a big breath and rested his head. Jamie closed the back door and popped the trunk open. He grabbed a random black shirt. It was kind of tight, and Marty was right. It did stink. He got back in the car and drove.

In the back seat, Marty started sitting up. He felt a lot better now that it was out, but still weak from the wolfsbane. He lifted his shirt, to see the wound wasn't looking any better. He looked out the window, looking into the trees. The tire was flat so he could hear that, and the wind. He could see himself in the reflection of the window. His eyes started to glow. His bright gold faded out and turned into a bright steel blue. He blinked, and his eyes were normal again.

"What?" He whispered to himself.

"What'd you say? You alright bro?" Jamie said as he continued to drive.

"Nah I'm good, I feel somewhat better." Marty replied.
Marty was confused because he always thought a werewolf with blue eyes meant they were born a werewolf. He never exactly asked Callum why that was. He decided to keep it to himself.

They'd finally turned into a store parking lot.

               "BJs whole sale"

They parked the car from as far away from anyone else as possible.

"I'm going to run right in, and be right back. I know exactly what we need. If there's trouble, just duck or something" Jamie said as he shrugged.

Marty smiled sarcastically, and gave a thumbs up.

Jamie shut the door, and did an awkward run/skip into the store. Marty looked at him from the window.

Inside Jamie walked past many aisles. He got to the aisle where he needed, and grabbed the pocket torch. He walked past people, but at one point got a weird feeling. It was as if time had slowed down. An older fellow, maybe in his mid to late 30s was pushing a buggy. He was minding his own business. He looked at jamie and nodded his head down while smiling. Jamie stared at him as he kept walking but eventually the man turned down a food aisle. Jamie snapped out of it, and walked to check out.

"Do you have ID for that?" The clerk said to Jamie.

Jamie reached in his pocket and handed the lady his ID. She stared at it, and handed it back.
"You have to be 21, to buy this item."

"Are you kidding me? I have to be 21 to buy a pocket torch?" He said

She was chewing gum, and didn't say a word. She adjusted her glasses and folded her arms.

"Okay listen, I'm 7 months away from being 21. Can you let this slide? I really need it." Jamie pleaded

"Twenty... one." She said with no hesitation.
Just as Jamie was about to walk off in disappointment.
"He's with me, I got it." Someone said

Jamie looked back, and it was the guy he saw earlier. He walked up to the clerk, and showed his ID. He had a buggy full of food behind him.

"He's my son. He just thinks I take to long in here."
The clerk was not at all convinced. She stared at the two. After all, Jamie was a 5'11 black guy, and the mystery man was a 6'4 Hispanic guy.

"He took his mother's genes" he added
"You know what? It's 2 AM. I don't care." the clerk said chewing her gum.
The guy paid, and Jamie looked at him.
"Thanks, dad" He said awkwardly

The man smirked, and grabbed the receipt. Jamie walked off in a hurry. He looked back a few times before exiting the store. The man started putting his groceries on the counter.

As the man was walking outside of the store exit, Jamie stepped out of a shadow and grabbed the mans shoulder. The guy quickly grabbed his arm and put him in a position of pain. While still holding his buggy in his other hand.
"Ow ow ow, I just want to know who you are" Jamie let out breathing heavy.
"I'm a man, getting milk and bread at 2 AM."
The man let go of Jamie. He fluffed his shirt.
"You know what I mean."
Jamie flashed his golden eyes, and the man didn't look surprised at all. He simply took his buggy, and started to walk away. Jamie wasn't so sure if he could trust him so he didn't say anything about the hunters.. but he wanted to.
He stopped for a moment, and looked back at Jamie. "Your friend in the car..you're going to need to hold him down. Hard." He took a few steps and stopped again. "Oh, and that shirt smells awful." He added, walking off.

Jamie didn't say anything.. He just stood there for a second wondering how he knew. He picked up his small bag, and walked back to the car.

He got in the front seat, and started talking. "Alright, I got it. We're going to go back to my house and-" Jamie looked back, and saw that Marty was unconscious. He checked to see if he was breathing, and, he was.

Barely.
