His cellphone rang early in the morning, waking him up from his 4-hour sleep. He lifted his hand up to the bed-side table, trying to reach out for his device that was the cause of his immediate awakening. “Hello?” Takeda says in a sleep morning voice as he answered the call.

“Is this Takeda-sensei?” a familiar voice asked. It was a man’s.

“Uh, yes, how may I help you?” Takeda sat up, rubbing his eyes. He listened to what the caller said to him, making his tired, dull eyes grew wide, sinking in the information he received. “Gi-Gina-san?!”

Nishinoya walked through the hallways as he headed to his classroom, 2-3, thinking about the events that happened yesterday. Mixed emotions such as: worry, happiness, and pity blended in his mind, as his hand made its way to mess his styled hair in perplexity. Was Shina okay? What happened with her grandma? Did Gina wake up right after Shina asked him to leave the hospital room when it was running late?

“Go, I’ll be fine” he still remembered those words that she told her just to convince him to go home. But was it really true? Will she be fine?

He knew all those questions would be answered if only he could see her; to talk to her.

“Noya-san! Noya-san!” Tanaka called his best friend right after he saw him pass by their classroom. The shaven head boy run after him and tapped him on the shoulder to call his attention. “Noya-san!” he was successful with his last call.

Nishinoya turned around to see his teammate, giving him a questioning look. “Oh Ryu, what is it?” he asked.

Tanaka put his hands on his hips and sighed, arching his eyebrows together. “I knew you’d get more distracted after yesterday” he ratified, knowing how Noya will act after getting left alone with the Ronin. “So, what actually happened right after Shin-chan and I left?”

“Hu-Huh? Oh that…” Nishinoya muttered, avoiding eye contact with Tanaka. He started fumbling with his fingers, murmuring words his friend couldn’t hear, and the redness of his face reaching up to his ears. “Shi-Shina-san leaned on me and-”

“I WASN’T ASKING FOR YOUR LOVE LIFE DAMMIT!”

“EH?! YO-YOU’RE THE ONE ASKING WHAT HAPPENED AFTER! I’M JUST TELLING YOU!”

“I WAS REFERRING TO KODAMA-SAN DAMMIT! I’M ASKING IS SHE OKAY?!”

“Kodama-san – you mean Gina-san?” Noya was unfamiliar with Gina’s last name since he only heard Shina use her grandmother’s first name. Tanaka nodded his head and waited for an update from Noya. The libero couldn’t give any details since he was asked to leave just as was Gina was still asleep. “It was getting pretty late, and Tamotsu-san didn’t want me to stay out during that hour so he asked Raiden to drive me home”

“I see. Well, it can’t be helped. Even I’m having a hard time to schedule my visit to Kodama-san, now that the Inter High’s coming” Tanaka mentioned, rubbing his chin. He glanced at Nishinoya who was staring down at the floor in his daze, apparently deeply worried for Shina. At first he thought, Nishinoya only had a simple crush on the swordswoman who always had the urge to beat him half to death, but seeing how his friend care or the girl, he can tell it wasn’t just a simple ‘liking’.

“That Shina sure is lucky” he blurted out, in a trance of Nishinoya-Shina pair. “What-What are you saying now Ryu?!” red-faced, Nishinoya tried to hide his face with his arm, his heart rate racing.

Tanaka fisted his hand enthusiastically and said in a protective tone, “Noya-san! If ever that Shina breaks your heart, don’t have second thoughts going to me! I’ll avenge you!”
