"te extrañaremos pooh" my friends said as they gave me a group hug as I was ready to board my plane with my mom
"Yo también los extrañaré" I said to my friends as I turned around and bored the plane
If there was any way I could say I would but my dad told me to go with my mother for the support so I did. My mom seemed so lost she wouldn't speak move she hardly looked liked she wanted to breath but I wouldn't ask what's wrong it wasn't my place or business so I quietly played on my phone and awaited the move to America
8 hours later
"mamá despierta estamos aquí" I said to my mom who was drooling in her sleep
"Estoy arriba, chica, deja de sacudirme" My mom said as she woke up and grabbed her bags as I grabbed mine and continued off the plane with my mama who was still very tired
"¿Dónde está la mamá del conductor?" I asked my mom and she sighed
"Cariño, ya no vivimos con tu padre, así que no somos tan ricos como para pagarle a un conductor" she explained
I huffed and rolled my eyes I was so confused as to why they wanted a divorce mom never spoke on it and dad ignored the topic I never understood why but I guess dad choose for us to start at the bottom and struggle our way up
"Um you guys look like your new to the country would you kindly show me your desired location so we could find a way to take you there" A female spoke but it sounded weird I didn't get what she was speaking I turned my head to look at my mom to see if she understood which she did
"Um yes we are going to 7845 Kinder Lane" My momma spoke perfectly but I still didn't know the language they were speaking so I stared into space letting them talk
15 minutes later
We arrived at a small simple house not big at all like I was used too so I tried to think positive but I couldn't this wasn't where I was supposed to be I was supposed to be smiling in my crushes face laying on the beach texting with my friends but instead I'm here in Atlanta no family but my mother and no friends but Casper why me
"bebé, tenemos que enseñarte inglés en tres meses antes de que comiences la universidad" my mom said walking into my room which was very empty
"no creo que sea tan fácil mamá" I said to her she sighed
"Te enseñaré" my mom said playing with my layered hair and I moved her hand
"voy a dormir mamá" I said laying on the carpeted floor and my mother left the room with her head low
