If Kenzo Beckett was to describe his summer, he would say it was a knockoff Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson summer love—like literally. When Kenzo found out he was moving from sunny California to Salt Lake City, he didn't take the news very well. His parents had decided on a divorce as his father had meet someone new. His mother thought it would be a good experience for Kenzo to stay with his dad for a year to spend some time with him and his new stepmom. As much as Kenzo hated it, he decided to go along and see what it was like. When arriving Kenzo was immediately meet with his new stepmom, Audora. And if one thing Kenzo was good at, it was telling if a person likes you or not and Audora DEFINITELY did not like Kenzo. No matter how much effort he put into making a conversation with her, the hatred just didn't seem to go away.
So knowing he couldn't stay in his house all summer with her, he decided it was best to make some new friends. And just his luck, his next door neighbours came round one night with their lovely daughter, Dina. Dina and Kenzo became close and she asked if he wanted to come to a party someone was throwing and that's were it all started.
