The next couple of days went by slowly. My days were boring, waking up, getting ready, eating, going to school, and working. That's all I did. I missed Luke, I re-listened to his voice-mail at least two times a day. For some reason he just didn't sound like himself. Was he upset? I hope he wasn't upset with me. I would call him every now and then, of course with no answer. Sometimes I'd leave him messages. I don't know. Our relationship has just been so different. I haven't seen the boy in 6 months. But it was only 13 more days until he would be in New York, and if I continue to work for Rose I'll have enough money to go.

"Arden?" My mom asked throwing an envelope at me. "This came in the mail. Are you alright? You've been in bed all day, c'mon! It's a Saturday, let's go out!"

I looked down at the envelope. USC.

"Oh my god." I mumbled. My hands were trembling.

"What? What's wrong?"

"Mom" I said quietly. "It's from USC."

"Open it!" She yelled with excitement.

I looked up at my mom, then back down at the letter. This was my future in my hands. I didn't apply to many colleges. Only USC, UCLA, Berkeley, and NYU. I already knew I wouldn't be going to NYU, but it was worth a shot.

"I can't!" I screamed, tossing the letter to her. "You do it. Please."

My mom stared down at the letter as she began to place her finger under the opening. After she tore the envelope open she unraveled the letter, carefully reading word for word. I looked at her worried, I didn't make huh? She didn't have a frown or smile, I started getting worried, but I didn't want to speak.

"I am." She began quietly. "Happy to inform you that Arden Christy has been accepted to study with us in Pediatric Nursing at USC!" She screamed hugging me instantly.

"Oh my god." I mumbled, gasping for air. For a second I actually didn't think I made it. "I have to call Luke." I said between my tears.

"Okay, congratulations baby." She said, kissing me on the forehead before she hopped off of my bed and left.

I looked for my phone, throwing my pillows from my bed until I found it ravled in my blankets. I unlocked it and put in 5, which was Luke's number in my speed dial. Before I could press call, my screen lit up.

Incoming call- Luke

Speak of the devil.

"Babe!" I yelled happily.

"Arden? Is everything alright? We haven't talked in like twenty days."

"Everything is great. I just got accepted to USC." I laughed.

"Congratulations babe! I'm so proud of you."

"Thank you." I smiled.

"I wanna talk though." He mumbled.

I looked at my wall, as my smile wiped off my face. No, please this isn't happening. Not now.

"What about?" I asked nervously.

"About us. Don't worry it isn't bad!" He laughed.

"Oh good."

"So, um Calum said that it sounds like I don't love you. Do you feel that way?"

Tears began to form in my eyes. No, not at all. Why would Luke think like that?

"No." I said quietly. "Calum is just being an idiot."

"I don't know. I love you To The Moon, and back, but I feel like I can't even show it." He said sadly.

"Of course you can show it." I said supportively. "Put it into your performances. Rock out."

"Thanks babe. You know what?" He asked.

"What?"

" I miss you alot."

"I miss you too."

"Everyday gets harder to stay away from you. I mean, I'm an eighteen year old dude, why don't I just hop on a plane and come see you?"

"Don't do that." I laughed. "Don't let me get in the way of your career."

"Don't you mean don't let my career get in the way of us?" He snickered.

"Since when did you get so sassy?" I laughed.

"Arden, sweetheart?" My mom asked, stepping into my room. "Oh you're on the phone, sorry. Hi Luke!"

"No, it's fine. What do you need?" I asked.

"I wanted to take you out, but it can wait." She said walking out of my room.

"Babe, go enjoy yourself. I'll see you in LA in 68 days."

"68 days." I said sadly.

"Love you."

"Love you more."

"Not possible." Luke said, choking on his last words.
