"I'll miss you so much sweetie" my mom said as she hugged me tightly

I felt tears come to my eyes as I hugged back "I'll miss you too"

My dad and my brother stood behind my mom. This was the first time I had seen either of them cry

My mom pulled away from the hug and wiped her tears "call me as soon as you land"

I nodded "I will"

My dad walked over to me and hugged me "I'll miss you so much Hyerin. Call us everyday and make sure to not get into any trouble"

"Of course dad" I said and smiled

My brother then made his way over to me with a smile on his face "I'll miss you lil sis"

I lightly laughed and shook my head "I'll miss you too Joorin"

We hugged for a brief moment and then I grabbed my luggage

I walked goodbye as I headed to my terminal

I got on the plane and watched out the window as we took off, saying goodbye to my hometown, Daegu

Hours had passed and we finally landed. Sadly it had not been our destination, it was just a layover

I laid back in the waiting chairs and took out my phone to face time my family

"Hey sweetie!" My mom said smiling widely

I smiled "hey mom!"

"Are you there already?" She asked "that was quick"

I shook my head "no not yet"

She nodded "BeomSoo! Come here, Hyerin is on the phone!"

I smiled as I watched my dad come out into the living room

He sat down next to my mom and smiled

"Hey dad" I waved

"Hi sweetie" he waved at me "you look tired"

"Oh I didn't know" I said sarcastically and then let out a small laugh

He laughed too "did you sleep on the plane?"

I shook my head "no, I was watching movies the whole time and plus the guy who sits next to me snores really loud"

They both laughed

"Okay, you should get some sleep once you're back on the plane" my mom said and I nodded

Soon I had gotten back on the plane and we were off again

We had one more layover before we finally got to our destination

I got my luggage and got a taxi to go to where I would be living for the next few months

I paid the taxi driver and looked at the house

"You're here!" I heard someone say in English

I looked to my right and saw a little old lady, she smiled and waved to me

I smiled and waved back

"I'm Mrs. Brodeur, I'm the land lady" she said

"Oh!" I bowed "it's nice to meet you" I said in English

"Follow me" she took me inside and showed me to my room "this is your room, and the room across the hall is your roommates"

"Roommate?" I asked confused

She nodded "did you not see on the website? You'll have a roommate"

"I must not have" I thought back to when I first saw it. I sighed that was back when my parents didn't know I was coming here for college

She nodded "well, he's out right now. But he'll be back soon."

"Wait, he?" I asked even more confused

She nodded "I turned him down so many times, since I wanted this to be just for girls, but he agreed to pay more than half so I couldn't turn him down"

"Oh, great" I said and sighed

She took me upstairs to the living room

"Wow, it's so beautiful" I said looking out into the scenery. I gasped "you can even see the Eiffel Tower from here!"

She smiled and nodded "Welcome to Paris"

I smiled happily as I watched the sunset

"Now, I'll leave so you can unpack and make yourself at home. I hope you enjoy your stay"

I knew that I would definitely enjoy living here, even if it was only for a few months
