"Where's Remi?" I ask Gio, who is waiting outside of Remi's car in the school parking lot. Usually he is here before us and honking at the two of us to hurry up and. He's not here.

"No clue," he sighs.

We stand around for five minutes, until I pull my phone out and call him. It rings about six times before it sends me to voicemail. I groan. What could he possibly be doing? I look up from the ground to see him walking towards us. He's not alone.

He's with Emily, and they're holding hands. Gio and I exchange confused looks.

"So you can forgive her but you can't forgive your best fuckin' friend?" A voice calls from the right of all of us.

We all look over. Romeo is approaching us and I swear, steam is blowing out of his ears.

"Get in the car." Remi points at the three of us, including Emily. Emily and Gio quickly get in the car but I stay right where I am. If anyone is breaking up their next fight, it's probably going to be me.

"You know what you are Remi? A fucking pussy." Romeo shoves him.

I dart in between them, trying to stop any more altercation before it starts. "Romeo, stop!"

"Ellie, get the fuck in the car." Romeo is in my face.

"Don't tell my sister what to do you piece of shit." Remi spits a wad of saliva onto the black top.

Romeo smirks. "Ah, so you can talk to me."

"Yeah. I can talk to you." Remi shoots daggers towards his ex-best friend.

"I see you and Emily are together now, huh?" Romeo clenches his jaw.

"What do you care? She only fucked you to make me jealous. How does it feel to be used?" Remi snickers at him mockingly.

Romeo laughs. "You want to know what she felt like? Man, that tight virgin pussy was so wet--"

Before Romeo can even finish his sentence, Remi punches him in the jaw. The sound is so loud that I'm sure people across the parking lot probably heard. Romeo is on the ground within a second.

I stare at him, just lying on the ground completely limp.

"Really, Remi? Really?" I look at my brother who is clutching his fist.

"Yeah, fuckin' defend him like you always do. Everyone knows you're in love with him." Remi points in my face.

I smack him across the face, hard

He stares at me for five seconds, saying nothing. He finally speaks. "You can find your own ride home."

"And the worst big brother award goes to you." I laugh loudly.

"Yeah, fuck you Elisa." Remi says through the car window. I flip him off as he drives by. Wait until my parents hear about this one.

Romeo is still on the ground. Jesus Christ.

"Can you get up?" I nudge him with my foot.

"Fuck off." He mutters.

"Fine. Get run over. Not my problem." I begin to walk away. I guess I'm walking home.

"Do girls really use me?" Romeo says from behind me.

I turn to face him and sigh. "Aren't you using them? I don't see why it matters."

He stands. "Yeah. I guess you're right. It felt better knowing that they really wanted me and I didn't care about them."

"You're such an ass. Why don't you just punch Remi back?"
