I'm  who knows how many drinks deep when I decide to sit in the corner booth to try to take a short breather. I lite my cigarette when suddenly I'm quickly joined. Great.....not

"HERO!! I've been looking for you alllll night" Kara states rather annoying

"Well you found me" I fake my enthusiasm

Kara is a friend of a friend in our friend group and she's been after me for years. It's honestly annoying and  getting quiet old.

"And thank goodness I did, I've missed you" she says as she tries to stroke my arm I quickly push her hands away.

"Kara just give it up please you know I have a girlfriend" I sigh

"Do I?!? You never tell us her name I'm starting to think you've made her up to play hard to get" she pouts

"That's he stupidest thing I've ever heard....." I reply

"Hmmm is it what her name?" She ask

"I'm not telling you her name she wants to stay private and that's how it's going to stay" I reply in annoyance

"Hmm well....." she starts as she leans her head on my shoulder

"I'll never give up until I see with my own eyes and even then....how will I know you're not faking it" she says as her head is still on my shoulder

I push her off and quickly get out of the corner booth

"Hey man I'm going to head out and um good luck with that one" I shrug in Karas direction

"Ok and I hate her idk why she's even here" Felix says

"Bye man" I say as I pay his shoulder in the way out

I wake up the next morning with the worst hang over I've ever had. Last night was a mistake and that is only proved more when I look at my phone and see the headline

"Hero FT with mystery girl....." it's a picture of Karas head on my shoulder

SHIT.....

HAS JO SEEN THIS

I notice I have three missed calls from Jo

In that moment I know she's seen it.

FUCK

She's not up yet.....

That gives me some time to figure out how to explain this

I mean she was all over me I pushed her away I'm not guilty of doing anything and I can only hope Jo believe me and the truth
