WAVES OF DESTINY

Prologue

A few centuries ago , war ravaged the lands that led to hunger and strife the wise King Caspian rallied the people and other kingdoms to end the war in a peaceful way thus he was proclaimed Emperor to the Southern Empire Known as Canvor .

After century of peace another Empire emerged in the North , they disrupted the peace and blood feud between the two Empires became paramount, peace was sought by both emperors to end blood sheds after witnessing the aftermath of their actions.

The two Emperors signed treaties to uphold peace between them . After a few decades both empires recovered immensely and became rich and prosperous. Yet hostility between both empires remained the same throughout the years .

Canvor recovered the most and became a rich , powerful empire whose citizens prospered , thrived and lived happily ever after. Decades Later a young prince stood over the death bed of his father the Emperor of Canvor the people moaned the death of the Emperor. His rule had been fair and Just , he had left the Empire in the hands of his nineteen year old son.

The young man looked pale and calculative , he didn't expect to rule such a vast Empire on a shot notice, His mother looked calm as ever as if it was not the funeral of her lord and husband.

The Empress looked elegant in her black gown, she held her head high , her golden amber eyes were glistening in the late winter. She had been crying even if she wouldn't admit it, she loved the Emperor it was a marriage of inconvenience and she hated him for not allowing her to be with her true love the King of Maldonia, after years of claiming to hate him she came to grew affections for him .

After the Emperor was buried in the tomb of Osifix , Naveen and his court went back to the castle. When he entered his chamber he was greeted by the lush scent of lavender and he knew it was his mistress Anna , she lain naked on his bed and watched him approach her with half lidded eyes , she was intoxicated and he was in pain not the kind that a warm woman's embrace could soothe.
She opened her arms and he gladly embraced her , for No one can resist this beautiful temptress.

Later that night he want to the balcony, staring straight into the starry night, he was lost in his thoughts when he felt a hand touch his shoulder lightly.
" what's worrying you my prince ?"she questioned with her soothing voice.
"Nothing my dear just thinking about how things are going to change from this night onwards " I don't usually discuss my problems with her , she is mainly a distraction that my mother allowed me to have until I married my betroth.
"Everything is going to be perfect my prince , the world would be yours as it was foretold." She whispered into my ears , Anna is ambitious , she is pursuing me to earn her place at court and gain favors for her house , I don't love her and she knows it , but I had never stopped myself from granting her wishes whatever they may be .
"I don't believe in prophecies."I retorted .
"But you should you are the son of Mars "
He didn't continue the conversation and went back to bed .

Now present day in the kingdom of Maldonia which is found between the two empires was very bountiful place with jewels , abundant foods , happy citizens and above all peace since the beginning of the ancient wars . They were peaceful people who served their patron goddess Aphrodite and spread love and teachings of love and kindness throughout the kingdom.

In mid summer the sun was hot and scorching , farmers brought out their produce to dry in the hot summer sun , Kenna who loves riding since she was a ten year old girl made her way to the stables to ride Arthur her horse a gift from her aunt Thea .

Her horse was being tended by a tall boy with short blond hair , he was muscular with fair skin .

KENNA

As I walked closer he turned to look me in the eye with his captivating green gaze and his mouth turned into a smirk .
I have known sky all my life he was a few years older than me and also captain of my honor guard, sworn to protect me with his life . He was ruggedly handsome and I can't deny that I am attracted to him sexually even though I am born and breed to marry a man who will protect both me and my kingdom through this perilous times . Sky only saw me as his superior and treated me as such .
We grew up together with my lady in waiting Rose , Sky was a few years older than us , we used to leave the palace walls to have adventures in the towns and had never been caught until one unfortunate afternoon that my mother's personal guard found us on the outskirts of town and brought us before her . She scolded us and threatened to have my friends whipped and I begged her , crying on my knees before she heard my pleas only under one condition that I never leave the palace again. And I promised, that was the last adventure I took .
